I've played Quake and Quake II, but not Quake III yet. Quake is the best of them all IMO -- the creepy music, the strange environments etc. And it's even more fun when you can meddle with the source code so that the powerups last longer, your weapons cause more damage, etc.

I agree, quake was definately creepier than its somewhat futuristic looking sequel. And the music was great, Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) will also be doing the music on the upcoming Doom III.

NIN hadnt finalised the contract last I heard, but it looks that way.

Me, I liked doom better than quake, cos its system specs were low enough for me to get it running on all the machines on my LAN. Which was fun. Quad damage almost made up for quakes frame rate problems though.

Q2 was also another goodie fun one. It was great, specially since you could use your Quad Damage whenever you want, though I never did use any of em. Guess I forgot

I love the Quake games. Q1 is probably the best, because it is so scary, but Q2 is very fun, and Q3A is heaps fun in multiplayer and single player.

And it absolutely kills UT, which is dull and boring when compared to Q3A. Why? Better graphics, sounds, maps, weapons, skins, characters, commentator, physics...pretty much everything. It's faster too.

Rail gunning is fun, but my two weapons of choice are the Rocket Launcher and the Shottie. And I love the TankJr skin, as well as Visor and the gorgeous Mynx.

I loved the Doom games too.

I'd have to agree bout everything with Q3A. My skin choices are Sarge, Gorre, and Razor, with the Rocket Launcher and Shotgun. My brother plays as Orbb and he is an amazing sniper with the Railgun.

Team Arena is okay; it copped alot of flak when it was released, but it still is a very good team based game. I don't like many of the new models/skins though- it's a new 3d artist, coz they kicked out the one who designed all the Q3A skins because he was not enthusiatic about Doom 3. Forgotten his name.

I can't wait for Quake 4, but I'm a little frightened, because Id aren't personally making it- Raven is. I don't like the idea of Id giving Raven one of their biggest game names to toy around with. Raven are a great team, but I think Id should handle Quake 4 themselves. I'm also a little disappointed that Quake 4 will take place in the sci-fi setting of Quake 2, battling against the Stroggos again. That's cool, but I prefer the gothic, satanic atmosphere of Quake 1, and I was wishing they would return to this instead.

Still, Doom 3 looks to be very scary...
