Lol!

Anyway, when I think of of Bethesda and Elder Scrolls I think of two words: Bugs Galore. Honestly, I liked Morrowind. It was so different from other RPGs that I have played; loved the atmosphere, the massive world, the "other worldliness," but the bugs were a real pain. Bethesda since their beginning continually ships out one bug ridden game after another. Even their patches need patches from time to time.

Are you kidding me??? The bugs are like an ES tradition. Without them, the Elder Scrolls title would be lacking something great. As much as you might like them gone, it takes away from the true ES experience.

Now that's funny, Secret Master! Beautiful sarcasm.

Maybe it's just me, but i didn't think Morrowind was buggy at all? Can you expand on that Albromor? Daggerfall on the other hand...

As for Oblivion, well, i seriously try not to get my hopes up for a game, though i've failed badly at it this time. I don't think there's much to worry about though. I expect A LOT and if they deliver 1/4 of that, i'll be happy.

Yes, I suffered from many unpleasant game freezes, and the ocassional dreaded CTD(crash to desktop) but this was possibly more the fault of me using a low end PC that was borderline reccomended in the system requirements rather than the game itself. Count yourself lucky if you had no problems, Sev!

One doesn't have to look far forum wise to see the bug laden complaints however, so hopefully Oblivion will iron out some a bit more with the optimisation process.

I think expecting Oblivion to be the best there has ever been is a bit rich, frankly, since there are so many games that will go unplayed in our lifetimes. But I am definitely anxiously awaiting the first reviews and expect it to at least raise the bar from Morrowind in almost every way. I don't think that's unrealistic gauging by the sheer effort, work and detail that's going into Oblivion.

I'm a natural pessimist though. So expecting it to be generic, mere eye candy and depthless bollocks might help to calm my repressed hopes for a masterpiece a bit more.
