Alae growled, "We're a rich country, and my brother runs the country cause I think ruling is boring." Her eyes flashed, "Our allies are those of the First House Streea."

"Isss that sooo?" asked Yuan-ti with a hiss. "Try to ssscare ussss, perhapsss? Foolisssh. Tell me of your father..." Alae felt her mind being played with. The Yuan-ti's questions were stupid. What was it really after? It changed her arms back to normal...

"Well besides telling you he's a dragon, I really can't tell you much. Your little drow poisoned him already, they could have asked him then." She snarled at the snake, "Why don't you just kill me now, your questions are boring me."

Ivan sighed. "I hope everyone will be okay, they seem like strong leaders, so I'm sure they may be alright." said Ivan as he opened his bag and pulled out a book containing chemicals formulas and such. "I'll need some things to make this toxin you ask for though." said Ivan turning the pages. "And how much will we need?"

"First we're going to get us another ally..." Gus lifted his hand in a clenched fist and presented it to the Gnome. Gus smiled while speaking in a dramatic and eluding tone, slowly uncurling his fingers to expose a dark fire in his palm... "The nomadic elves, themselves, will assist us in seiging the city, whether they join our cause or we have to kill them to work for us... and atop this, we will gather whatever forces we can from the fortress and call them into the cities center in a grand portal... one of the spells to change our enemies into our allies requires the material components of dark elves like the ones that attacked me a while back. IF these creatures are of the same blood we will be able to amass the armies I spoke of... otherwise. we may be forced to go it alone with mere spells, poison, and physical combat provided by Alae's freinds... I'll clear a path for our forces in the poison..." Gus was now pacing back and forth, rubbing his chin violently... "Do you have any other ideas for diversions and attacks we can create? How will we extract them from the palace with toxins in the air? Maybe we should make the toxins effects... temporary..."

"Wheress the fun in that?" hissed the Yuan-ti. It seemed to be doing a lot of hissing. It cackled evilly. "You were foolissssh." it backed into the shadows...
Several moments later, Alae heard a scuffle but couldn't see what was going on. Alaerth was chained to a wall, tighly chained with magical bonds; and Alae's slab of rock began to tilt. Soon it was horizontal, and the twins could see one another. Alaerth was in his breeches, his tunic seemed to have several tears, and was half falling to the floor. The snake slithered in again and hissed, "Now you sssshall anssswer or watch one another die..." it hissed, "What are the defencessss to your capital?" it demanded. |

At the sight of her brother, Alae's face only grew harder. Alaerth was still livid and snarling in anger, but he had to answer, or it was his sister's life.
"Matron Alliene helped design our captial's defenses. The walls have poison and paralysis spells, and there are slots in it built so that mages and arches can send things out but things can't go in. Behind the wall are several chain lightning traps that trigger if the enemy manages to get over the wall, and the area around the castle is enchanced so that arrows and spells can reach across and strike them down before they can get close to the castle. The wall of the castle is much the same, but instead of chain lightning, there is a specially designed cold spell that slows enemies down. If anyone manages to breach the castle walls, several cloudkill spells go off." |

"Good, finally ssssome co-operation.." hissed the Yuan-ti evilly. It grinned wickedly "Nows you tells ussss how to bypasss them..." it hissed again, it's eyes gleaming.
A pause. The Yuan-ti hissed disgruntled. "It sssseemsss that you are wanted, Alassss we sssshall continue thisss later, Alae..." it hissed. Guards came to take her away, and everything went black, leaving Alaerth staring at the drow dragging his sister away, and the Yuan-ti idly toying with a rod. Alae awoke in a bed. It was a large four poster, and she was dressed in a nightgown and knickers. It was dark; and her head hurt. She didn't feel like she'd been harmed, and the darkness didn't tell her what time it was. There felt... like there was a presence in the room... something evil, yet familiar... she wasn't sure what. Arlyth was still sat in the priestess's lap. What she had told him made him frown. Though she might of been lying, something within him told him she was not. They had located his father's old sword; Tagnik'zurjess. She had told him they had tried to retrive it, but it had slain all who had touched it. Then they had a child try to pick it up; an innocent, but the sword didn't strike the child down, and instead teleported it somewhere. This annoyed the drow greatly, and the priestess had been instructed to find one of Calaethis's blood to retrive the sword. She had smiled at Arlyth; told him he would be treated well and had no need to worry, for he would not be used to attack his cousins, or the surface; only they wanted the sword out of the way. Arlyth at which point had flatly refused to aid the drow in any way whatsoever, and the priestess's reaction had startled the young elf. Rather then threaten to kill his cousin, she simply turned him across her knee, downed his breeches, and spanked him. Hard. So hard in fact, Arlyth found himself sobbing by the end of it, and the skin had started to bruise. He hadn't cried in years and the priestess didn't appear content until he was howling like an infant. Arlyth wondered if she'd done something to his head to make him more childlike... he found himself acting differently from normal. After a long, long twenty minuets, the priestess had finally stopped, and pulled up his breeces and him into her lap and hugged him tightly and read him a stern lecture. Arlyth found himself snuggling up to her happy she wasn't angry with him anymore. The drow has kissed his forehead, and asked for an apology; something that Arlyth gladly gave. She told him she would treat him as any elven mother would, and demanded the same respect and obidence he'd show to any elf; he was a child and would be treated like one. Arlyth found himself content with that, as he sobbed in her warm embrace. She healed him, and continued to tell him of the past, Arlyth listening intently... Edit: included more - specifically whats happening to Arlyth at the moment. [ 10-12-2003, 10:08 PM: Message edited by: Calaethis Dragonsbane ] |

DMing for Morgy - purely because I'm tired of the slow pace.
Xvim had currently watched all of this, and seen her companions and the brattish young elf dragged off without being able to do a thing. She saw the void genasi and the gnome leave, and had followed them. Remaining concealed, she could hear everything the loud-mouth mage was saying, and realised that if he wasn't careful, the drow who backtracked would hear him, and kill them both. Or worst, kill many innocents for his arrogance. What she did now was up to her... I'll DM for SG and DK for now - until our beloved DM decides to find the motivation to post ![]() |
