A brash young man walks up the steps to the castle, avoiding the dwarves stain. He steps into the huge buiding.

"Hello!! Anyone there!!" Not hearing a reply, he finds his way the main room.
"Oh, bloody hell," He sighs, "Is there no one in this damn castle!"
He leaves the room quickly, venturing into one of the castles many corridors.

He wonders the castle, being slightly cheered up by all the paintings that line that walls.

He finally stumbles across Shadow's room, and enters, ignoring Starshadow and approaching Shadow with a huge false grin on his face.

"I am Ja'mar. A pleaure to finally meet you! You are Shadow, yes? "

Jogging through the rain, Ferron approaches the main doors of the castle. He eyes them up and down. 'No visible traps...' he thinks to himself, 'That would be most unwelcoming.' He grabs hold of the rather large door knocker and knocks it three times. Trying to find cover from the rain, he runs underneith a nearby tree. From the cover, he takes a good look at the castle. It looks very similar to every other castle he'd seen. Big, grey and dull. Right about then, the door swings open to reveal a very ugly goblin. "Hello, you must be Ferron. My master has been waiting for you. Please follow me." Ferron follows the goblin through some corridors, and gets completely lost before stopping outside a door. "Please wait here, my master will see to you soon", says the goblin.. Ferron dismisses the goblin with a wave of his hand.

Starshadow looked up as the new figure entered the room. "Hmm... what have we here?" he thought to himself. "One of those ugly humans. So volatile and... barbaric, they are. But I suppose that Elves would avoid this place like the 9 Hells. At least the half-breeds have some redeeming qualities in them."

Underneath the hood of his cloak unseen, his eyes narrowed as the newcomer ignored him. "A fool if I've ever seen one. And if the head of the society can't see through that falseness, then he's an even bigger fool."

As he turned back to the maps that he was studying, one of the elf's hands reached under his cloak and began to caress the hilt of a throwing knife. Then he began to smile, the sight unseen by the others, as he pictured his knife occupying many different places in the newcomer's skull.

Getting no reply from Shadow who is busy examining maps, Ja'mar truns to Starshadow.

"Hello my friend! I did not see you there! I am Ja'mar, by the way. How might I address you?"

Shadow looks up at the three people, wondering why they must insist on interrupting him while he is working. while turning to face them he quickly folds the maps that he is looking at over so they cannot be seen.

"Starshadow there is a door in the library, if you go down there it will lead to where I keep most of my maps." He then turns to the two new comers.

First he looks at the one who calls himself Ja'mar, wondering if he really is as stupid as he seems. And immediatly comes to the desision that he will never work along side him, better to send him off on different jobs. He throws the key over to Ja'mar. "Your room is right next door to starshadow's I think you two will get along wonderfully." He turns away to hide his smirk.

"And you must be ferron. Your room is not far from the kitchen. Here is your key."

Starshadow appraised the man who had now turned to him and greeted him. "Starshadow will be fine, Ja'mar," he replied simply, doing a commendable job of hiding his disgust. He even managed to not spit the name out.

He watched as Shadow pulled his maps away. "Fool. Any thief worth his gold has already scanned the maps when they first walked in. I bet even Ja'mar has seen more than enough of the maps." He glanced around the room quickly. "And he leaves the door open as well as he studies. Why bother having traps here?" It didn't really matter to him anyway. "Ah, yes, the door in the library. I had wondered what was behind it."

The next comment caught the elf by surprise, but instead of angering him, he nearly laughed out loud. "As if I'd enjoy having any neighbors," he thought. "It may help me out, though." Aloud, he said, "In that case, I'll show them to their rooms. I'm going that way, anyway." With a hand signal, he beckoned the others to follow.

In the dining room, out of earshot from Shadow, the elf motions the newcomers to have seat. "It seems our leader has no time for questions, but I do." The elf's voice is soft and musical, but the others notice a hard edge to it. He is not playing games. "You may not like me, and I may not like you, but we will be working together for the benefit of the society, and that leads me to this. 'Know your friends and enemies alike,' as my father used to say. First off, I want to remind you that loyalty to the society is most important, loyalty to an individual is not, this includes loyalty to yourselves. Besides, if you want riches, loyalty to the society will pay off in the long run, even more so than if you had gone on your own. I did not come to this society to have my chance at potential wealth dashed by a selfish fool. Got me?" He paused to take the edge out of his words. "Now, what brings you this place?"

ooc: Unless I'm severely mistaken, anyone going to meet Shadow will come through the dining room.

OOC: I have the feeling that I am going to have to map this place out some time. Shadow's room that everyone knows of is in the hall between the dining room and the lavatory.

Ja'mar listens intently to Starshadow, and answers him in his jovial and slightly irritating voice.

"Well, what does practically every thief want? Money, of course." He replies.

"And to meet a pretty young lass to share it with." He adds, grinning once again .

"Well if that one doesn't have a contract out on him, I don't know who does. What do you think, my little darling? It would be a shame to let that one get away..."

Still soaking wet from the evening rains, the little ball of black fur offers only a short Purrrr in response.

"Well...I'll take your word this time. But I think he has the look of a mark."

She continued to eye Starshadow approvingly. Yes, the price on his head had an endless string of zeros, she was sure.

"For the benefit of society" INDEED, she wordlessly echoed. But how anyone had managed to make enemies by repeating phrases from an academy's handbook was unclear. Still, he had that potential about him...

She glided softly away, checking once to make sure no one saw. The walls silently watched as the lithe figure turned a corner, the slits of a black gown revealing shapely legs and finely gilded daggers.
