OOC- alrighty, I've pmed Attalus, Cyril a 2nd time, and Elif still needs to read the pm i sent him a few months ago. although the issue being discussed in that pm is being dealt with by Cyril.
IC- Skye looked back and forth between Kishin and Addison silently with a slightly worried expression, as she sensed the tension between the two. She relaxed when the tension left, then smiled gratefully at Addison. "Thank you, this problem I have has been rather bothersome. I will be eternally grateful to have it dealt with."

Ni Deng

Although he had to admit the forest was a place of beauty, he gave it only a cursory glance. He'd seen many sights in his youth, and in his memory found some who made even this location seem plain by comparison. But then, it might be they were more magnificent in his memory than they were in reality.
He gathered wood, slowly, back bent, limping slightly, in the knowledge he was being watched.
When he'd found enough, he cleared an area of ground and piled the branches there.

For once, he was glad his talents would not help him light a fire. He didn't want to show off by mistake, simply because of habit. The bald gardener reached into his robe and took out flint and a circular piece of steel and let a handful of sparks begin their journey from tiny points of light to a warming campfire.

He dug under his robe once again, and retrieved ingredients for a simple stew. The monk wondered if he could get Addison to teach him to use a dimension door. Shopping made easy...

ooc: Just a couple quick notes. I've contacted both Skye and Elif about their characters. Skye expressed her desire to have her character's memories restored and Elif was happy that his character was remembered and has been brought near what little action we have going on so far.

I'm going to give TAO a little more time to get a post up before I start moving things forward from my end. We have several participants in the thread right now whose posting rates are slow fro various reasons and I'd like to keep things on the slower side fro a day or so to give them a chance to keep up.

ooc> no Prob dude, thanks for keeping me alive Im not going to jinx it, but it's working now so here I am. I had falsely assumed my charecter would be written into the wood work, no pun intended, and I thank you for letting me stay in. Skye sorr about that, my personal life has been hecktic to say the least, I started school full time and am working full time also so I have something like 15 hour days before I can even see my family. But that is no excuse for not responding to your PM and bow to you in forgiveness.

about Skye's memory, was it because I wasnt here or did you do a side story having me try this on Skye ? I have some catching up to do on what all has happend but if ya want to send me a PM witha brief synapsis I would appreciate it.

Happy belated b day Legolas what day was it ? mine was the 20th

ooc: Happy belated birthday to you as well, then, Elif.

Just sent a PM you way.

If Addison, Kishin and Ni Deng would like to work on restoring Skye's memories -- go right ahead. Otherwise, I'll set things up so that one of the druids will see to her.

It seems that all of you have posted your character stats and all for reference...so I had better do the same...for the benefit of the newcomers and to remind us all of Raymond.

Raymond was a young gardener long ago when this game started. He was approached by a man that was seeking shelter for the night. Raymond ended up leaving behind all that he owned the next day to travel and become something more than a common normal guy.
Trouble immediately began, of course, and he was separated from his party of four. On his own for many days, he ran into Isaura...who was a loner for many a year. They teamed up...and got into more trouble.
One night, A panther-were attacked them and Raymond was wounded badly. They seeked refuge in an old farm house, owned by a man that they just referred to as old man. For almost a week, Raymond stayed there with Isaura and was nursed back to health, but faster than a normal man should heal.
One night, Raymond transformed into his cursed state of a were-panther...and killed the old man, though he awoke the next morning and did not realize that anything had happened. The two companions left early that morning, and hoped they could leave without disturbing the old man's sleep...though they did not realize that he was lying dead in the barn.

Isaura and Raymond were attacked later by brigands, and that is when Raymond and Isaura finally came into reality of what he now was. After Raymond killed them all (in panther form), Isaura had tried to heal a wound inflicted by an arrow and nearly killed him. That is when TAOwolf and others showed up.
TAO recognized this new pup for what he was and his potential and took it upon herself to train him properly in his new art, so that he did not become a killer and a hazard to all. She did not have much time to do so before Bazguul'tek appeared and began destroying whole towns with his powerful force, mostly due to a pendant he wore. The two shape-changers entered the melee, and helped win the day.
TAO went into the forest for a while, and Raymond began to journey with Isaura to hunt down her attakers that had assaulted her earlier in the story while Raymond was away training. He had a new feeling about himself, and was trusting in his new abilities to win the day for his love. Yet, love has a strange way of turning on oneself, and Raymond found himself alone and frightened and angry with the world. He secluded himself into a patch of trees and was confronted by druids. He was enticed and wanted to learn more of thier harmonious ways of nature and druidism.

Raymond: Human
Fighter: Level 2
Ranger: Level 1
Druid: Level 0

Weapons:
Carries a short sword given to him by a friend that had used it on his adventuring days when he was younger. The sword was mentioned to have secrets undiscovered, but Raymond has never seen anything unusual in it. He has nearly forgotten it and has used it only rarely in the past.

Armor:
Wears a simple padded cloth shirt.

Ranger/Druid Spells:
TAO had not yet taught him the magics of nature.

Dexterity: 16 (Minumum for a ranger in 3rd edition, per NWN).
Strength: 14 (He was a hard working farmer).

Special:
Has been mastering his curse of the panther. He is still new to it, but has improved much with guidance from two sepatate sources.

*Having 3 levels of fighting classes would mean that in human form he could take 4 or 5 solid hits before being at risk of falling unconscious or dying.

*He should be able to kill things like goblins and orcs with a single blow; Something like and ogre might require 5 or 6 good hits.

*While he's naive and inexperienced, he learns quickly -- this indicates above average intelligence.

*The demands of life out of doors demands a high constitution.

Other attributes of Raymond are that he is incredibly shy...though his new life has been helping him with that. He is more bold now than he ever thought possible, but others still see him as a red-faced boy. His wisdom and understanding of the world is lacking, for he had never been off his farm until he began this journey. He has since seen and learned many things...but not enough to understand their concepts. He is not a leader. He is a devout follower of anyone whose charisma is high enough to provoke his action. At the moment, Raymond is undergoing some mental conflicts where the social world outside the forest is waning...and the call to druidic life may be possible. He is unsure of any path right now, and is in such a state as to be provoked by either TAO or Legia.

VERY nicely done, Larry!

So well done, in fact, that some introductions are perhaps in order

For Raymond

THE GROVE

The Circle was opened last night to include this newcomer, this one whose binding Melpomene had felt even as it had occurred those generations in the past. The ritual of opening is no small thing and the hidden song of the Moon Queen is among the most beautiful melodies and so rarely sung and O! how Iphigenia has grown into the singing of that song. The hearing of that song and the seeing of the bright dance of moonlight beneath the colors of autumn simply could not be missed and so she left young Raymond called and named in the stirrings of his dreaming heart that she might lend her own inspiring touch to the howled notes of the wolves of the forest.

A beautiful night, indeed, and one that has opened into the sunlight of a morning under clear skies. Strong and comfortable this young Raymond has become without realizing it. His gifts suit him well. She smiles and the breath of warm air that bears her presence coalesces. She steps forward, clad in a simple white dress, her bare feet making no sound and leaving no trace in the sun warmed grass. Her hair is long and brown and flows over her shoulders and down her back in rich waves. She stands quietly where the spray from the waterfall might lightly dance upon her and savors the young man’s enjoyment of his gift. “Yes, it is beautiful is it not?” she says softly in the familiar voice of his dreams. And as he turns to the sound of her voice his eyes shall be greeted by the smile he has dreamed about.

I want to play I want to play! seen how badly a DM I was, I gave up trying... sorry Mistral and hi everyone.

of course, Necromencor or Paladin is always my choice

lvl 3 necromencor

Binham Lance, associate of the Bleak Acadamy, School of the Necromencors and Other Dark Arcane Magic

Passing the dread test, Binham is no longer an apprentice of the crude masters of the Bleak Acadamy, a remote island of a distant sea. the memory of the weakest of the class was always the one sacrificed to the One Below, a godly entity worshiped by the necromencors, caused an occasion sudder through Binham's spine bones. He does not, however, let fear deter his pursue of the craft, nor does he fear death, for which the necromencors rever and, even a few daring individuals, cheat upon.

He was strongminded and goal oriented. The necromencor paid little interest to other ppl's lives, or feelings, or their existence at all for that matter. He was very cynic and cold, but such was the facial of surival in the harsh enviroment of the acadamy. He was not itnerested in conversing, after all the dead talks little, but was fascinated by mysteries and arcane magic and will risk his life in uncovering items concerning such categories. He never back down from a challenge, to show weakness often means death, but he was quick to accept an ally if the odds favors his opponent.

I prefer Binham to start at Gloomwood, to meet the hobgoblins. but DM can let me know whichever way he or she wants.

anyways, nice to see you again, Mistral. and happy birthday, Elif

Welcome aboard, 250!

Starting in the Gloomwood is fine. We'll have another new player joining soon -- so if you can wait a day I can set things up to bring the two of you into the thread around the same time. It will also give me a chance to do a little more work with the Gloomwood area so that things are ready to go for you.

Hobgoblins, the bigger speciy of their coward cousin goblins, are a more vicious sort. so Binham was not surprised by their confident strides and occasionally not-so-stealthy warcry for blood. Probally a war party, the young mage thought. wearing his plain black robe, he was well concealed behind a tall tree limb with serveral overgrown bushes.

Binham thought of following the war party and see where they are off to, and the idea seemed appealing. For the unsupplied mage's pouch was getting thin, and perhaps he can refill it at where the hobgoblins make the raid... from whichever side of the bodies that are conviniance, of course. He thought lightly.

It was not an overwhelming task to follow a bloodthirsty raiding band of hobgoblins, who had but the gloris and loot within grasp in mind. So as silently as he could muster, Binham followed.

OOC

to Cyril Darkcloud, okay, thanks and well met to you. do you mind me tail along the little savage beasts?
