Thatz cuz there is no bag of holding in Saradush, unless you bring one in from BG2.

i was going to keep quite but, there is a Bag of Holding in Saradush. You can purchase it from the highly stocked mage after you do the find the stolen magik book quest...
that guy does have some pretty neat spells, and equipment... i stole all of his level 9 and 8 spells of him... now edwin and imoen are a bad a$$ couple... I call them: Edwin and Imoen the bad a$$ couple! LoL
