Alright, alright, I'll admit... I looted it from the corpses of the slain Elves. I made sure I hung back until the drow killed one of the Elves before lending my assistance.

. . . . . . . . . You can get elven chain mail late on in the game in the elven city. Also Aran Linvail is wearing some - it seems you are too far along in the game now, but for those who haven't got to chapter 3 yet there is a possible way of getting it but I won't spoil too much of the plot by revealing all  ------------------  Time is an illusion.
