Dimension Door is in the game as some enemy mages do use it, as well as Teleport and Teleport Without Error. However the player cannot use Dimension Door as it could possibly screw with some scripted encounters and triggers. Why bother following a path to take you through several encounters needing some "key" items to enter a room when you could Dimension Door in from the start?
