How to attack this giant bat? - Page 2

Bloodlust means melee combat right? I find it hard to get very close to the bat and those wooden railing block direct contact with it.

No. Bloodlust is a specific weapon suggested by a previous poster. But yes, close-combat is usually impossible with the Giant Bat.

I found that normally he attacked me hand to hand in the first round - I think I fought him near one of the ropes, which might be why I got him into close combat while you guys didn't.

If you do get into a situation like that, giving weapons to ninjas and rangers that give multiple attacks per rounds is probably the best solution - get as many chances for a critical as possible.

I sometimes had some luck attacking him with the party. A more sure thing is to attack the Bat when the Trynnie patrol is passing by, the ones with spears. They keep hitting him and he stays close enough for some ranged weapons.

He can approach you and start biting. Watch out! You can get drained.
