Oooh my little rant got some attention.

Very nice Ziroc, the new cheater room that is!

I have pretty much accepted that power-munchins are just part of the price paid to run around on an open server. I love to design different elements of my characters stuff, like armor/clothing in particular, but as a strict rule I never exceed the character's level. I guess being a pnp dm for so long has instilled fairness in my ideals of gameplay.

Anyway my hat is off to Ziroc and other folks who accept the role as DM for EFU. I would rather have this kind of DM system which isnt "perfect" but still allows for the kind of openess I have come to enjoy playing NWN.

Thanks!!!!

Ziroc ....

Why not set the game to not let any characters in with item levels over 24? That should still let most of your special items in and will keep the UBER weapons out. Like Larry and several other folks, I make sure that I am not packing any items over level 20. Even with a level 20 cap on items you can STILL get some VERY impressive items.

I have to admit that the teleporting trap in an inspired idea. lol I wish I had seen that.

Ziroc: Please check on the following player.

PC - Velia...(cannot remember last name)
User - Lorddarklogan

This person killed the bone golem in two hits.

He/she also gave me a gift, because my level 12 Monk was turned to stone. It is a ring called the Ring of Life. Anybody can equip it, no matter what level. I was told that it was dropped on the third floor...so I dunno. Anyway, this ring gives it's wearer immunity to all spells, level 9 or lower, as well as boosts stats +10 (strangely enough, not strength, though). It has some other normal features with it too, like improved evasion and regeneration +5. I have this ring in my bag of holding in case you might be able to tell me how one could get it into the toolset and take a look at it to see what makes it tick. I am not wearing it. Oddly enough, and I do find this to be a bit of irony...my level 12 monk is the character that I want to keep at "low-level".

Oh...another funny thing. I was aked my real age.

Larry...
I picked up the "Plate Mail of the Corrupt" when I was running about with Larry the Sorcerer, the first time I went into Undermountain. It is just as super as the ring. I died alot. Since equiping this new armour I am immune to level 8 and below spells. With other attributes from the armour I can't recall. It is very nice. Though I still get killed. I thought this was one of the random high treasures dropped in Z's mod.

But surely Ziroc would not make a ring that gave +10 to Dex, Cha, Wis, Int, and Con., as well as immunity to all spells level 9 and down. Besides, It is not a legal ring, since one of that ability would be for a level 40 or something. I don't know. Ziroc. Please shed light upon us mere travelors of your kingdom.

No way I wouldn't! That is crazy.

And to the other guy--I didn't make 'Plate Mail of the Corrupt', but I DID make a 'Mirhral of the Corrupt', and its NOT a super item at all.

People must be dropping things. I know a script that will clean them up, but then, it would clean ALL treasures off the floor.

IN EfU, you will never find ANYTHING 'super' like +10 anything. (Maybe when Hordes is out, but I dunno). I have been tweaking this Mod/playtesting each level with a basic level 5 Fighter and Mage, and only using what I find in UM, and it's for SURE a tough fight..

Well you now have two witnesses that your module is polluted with crap tha others are throwing around for pleasure. It makes me wonder if somebody like a banned member is doing it just to piss you off.

I hope you can clean the module out in someway soon. If I find or amd given other shit like this, I will let you know.

By the way, what do you think of a sticky thread for reporting things like this as well as other issues or importance? It is just an idea, so if you do not like it, no big deal.

From what I have been reading at the official forums, the new HotU scripting hooks for items are gonna make it possible to strip certain properties from items themselves. This will go along way to thwart the cheats and their dumping while keeping legit items in place and on characters.

OK Z and Larry...
I went into Undermountain and checked out exactly what I picked up and here it is...

Mithril of the Corrupt
AC: +5
Immunity: Cold 100%
Immunity: Acid 90%
Immunity: Sonic 90%
Enhancement Strength: +10
Haste: Continual
Immunity: Level 8 and lower spells.
Feat: Improved Evasion

Z, if this isn't yours then sombuddy is muckin around with your stuff! I found this laying on the floor of the third level I think. I will discard this item if you didn't make it. I enjoy playing your Undermountain mod and I want to continue. The Item is definantely a high end Epic character item and not meant for a 14th level fighter. In PnP you can get Items like this, but they are EPIC Level(PC's Level 21+)Only items, usually you need several items to gain this kind of enhancement and they are very expensive! Check out the EPIC Level Handbook from WotC.
