You're supposed to build a party online...

Even though the NPCs all seem of high quality and its a shame I won't get a chance to see them all through to the end.

My biggest disapointment was the ending (that is a hint that I am about to give away the ending, so cover your eyes). I didn't want to talk to that stupid lizard woman again... I expected for Neverwinter three, that thief guy, Nasher, and Aribeth to give me my final goodbye's (or at least finish the romance dialogue and tell me what the sentance was). Instead I get this generalized cutscene which says nothing of interest.

Oh well, the nice part is I can go in an program my own epilogue where I slay Nasher and take over Neverwinter with my Blackguard at my side

Oh! I finished the game, but in my game Aribeth died. Is there some way to choose dialog options where she DOESNT actually have to die? This is in that dungeon where she talks and then attacks you, the dungeon with Maugrim inside.

BTW i had the most trouble with Duergar Clerics, out of all the monsters in the whole game! I had to reload the most and still feel like it was pure chance when a spell would land on them! I still dont have a sure-fire tactic to take them out! "silence" never stuck on them .

Yeah, I struggled with those duergar clerics too. That implosion spell killed me several times. You need to ignore whatever they summon and just go right after them. Plus, I hate when I'm smacking them around and they go and cast heal on themselves. I started using knockdown. There's no way they can cast while on their backs.

To save Aribeth, you have to talk to her in chapter 2. Just like the henchmen, you talk to her several times as you level up. In the end, she'll give you a ring. When you see her again in the end, you can then reminisce about those wonderful old times and get her to surrender. You still have to fight her for a little while.

I like non-linear gameplay, so this one is a bit disappointing (much like Dungeon Siege was). I'd like to see a game as wide open as Morrowind with the depth of NPC interaction and quest complexity of BG2.

So far Morrowind and Operation Flashpoint are the two best "Go whereever you want" games I've played.

As I said above, BGII-SoA was by far the beat game I have ever played. IWD is all right, but no NPC's, so no real interaction except RPing. I'll never forget Imoen and Viconia.

I liked the end, but the plot was a bit linear for me when compared to how "spread out" bg2 was. Not a complaint, really, just an observation.

As for the elven fallen paladin wench, I was only too glad to sever her head.
