Before i removed my cap remover (minor crisis avoided thanks to andrewas ) i had a running experiment with a level 40 sorc. I don't recall exactly what the aim of the experiment was, but it had some interesting side effects. After levelling to 41, my sorc underwent a mid life crisis, so to speak. He was no longer able to cast any spells or use any magic but his THAC0 had been boosted to fighter-esque proportions and he had some godlike saving throws. I am 100% positive that this is a result of the levelling stats going beyond the scope of the game. That is, the designers hadn't mapped out anything further than level 40. And that's understandable considering i was something like 10 times the initial xp cap.

I never went any further after the transformation. The game was boring enough anyway. But now that i can safely set the xp cap to whatever i want, i might load the old save up and see what happens!

C`mon. The game with a (Solo) Sorcerer is boring anyway. The guy is just so powerful. Without HLA˙s. With them...bothing can stand in his way.

The highest level I ever hit with my Pc was about a 32nd level Wizard Slayer, but of course that was with a six person party too.

Thanks Xen, I just can't make do with a solo game, just takes out the full flavor of an RPG you know?

Level 50. I would do a quest for someone (e.g Valygar's sphere quest), then kill them. Strangely, it hasn't gotten boring, and I am still playing.
