SixOfSpades has more faith in human nature and willpower that I do. Seriously (relatively speaking, given the topic), considering that fake-talk takes some effort to execute and isn't likely to happen accidentally, how does knowing what it is help one avoid using it?

grr, i lost points
I just copied the main bit about Kangaxx, really should have edited out the bits (such as fake talk)
You learn something new everyday, for me its to take out the 'unwanted' bits of info if giving spoilers

Knowing what it is means the difference between "Hey! Killing Lavok was really easy this time, he hardly did a thing! All right!" and "Hey.....Lavok didn't cast anything for the first 10 seconds of the fight. I wonder what happened.....hey, did I click on him when he was still blue? Dang it, I'd better do it again."

Is that why Lavok forgot to cast his ADHW in my last game???

Guess I was thinking more about deliberate fake-talk (the kind that requires rinse-and-repeat and the enemy never goes hostile at all). I take your point (though I'm sticking to my initial suspicions about human nature and willpower ).

Wonder if all this talk about fake-talking is getting more people curious about it? Hope not.

MuffinGirl: you seem to be at a stage in the game where you still have a lot to discover about the plot. Be careful when reading walkthroughs or anything tagged as a spoiler - you're likely to get more than you bargained for. There are two low/no spoiler walkthroughs available on the net (PM me if you want the links). Of course, it's your call.
