What is age to one who is immortal, or is that immoral?
Name: Charlie aka Cool Jerk Age: Over half a century (52) Loc: Sunny California, USA Occupation: Bindery worker. I am the one in print shops that cut, fold, staple and mutilate the finished products. Hobbies: Dungeon crawler. I play games. Specifically RPG & some Strategy games. Games like: Age Of Wonders Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura ArcoMage Army Men Baldur's Gate I, II Bard's Tale I, II, III Betrayal At Krondor Black & White Curse Of The Azure Bonds Dark Age of Camelot Diablo, Diablo 2, & 2X Dragon Wars Eye Of The Beholder I, II, III Fallout I, II Gateway to the Savage Frontier Get Medieval Heroes of Might & Magic I, II, III, AB Icewind Dale King's Quest 1 King's Quest: Mask of Eternity Lands Of Lore 1 Leasure Suit Larry (all of them) Lords Of Magic Magic & Mayhem Might & Magic I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII & VIII Myst Nox Planescape: Torment Pool Of Radiance Rage Of Mages Railroad Tycoon II Return To Krondor Riven Roller Coaster Tycoon Secret of the Silver Blades Sim City 3000 Sims, The Starcraft Starcraft: Brood War Tales Of The Sword Coast Ultima I to V Warcraft I & II Wizardry series Wizardry 8 Wizards & Warriors You Don't Know Jack I have played my first online multiplayer game with DAoC. I find I perfer creating and controlling the development and playing of all characters in my party. If DAoC were like Wizardry I would still be playing. I also feel that when a game is released it should be a finished product. If a patch is introduced it is to help with your computer being able to play the game to it's fullest potential, not tweek characters. What a slap in the face Mythic handed all those who had Rangers. That is unforgiveable. IMHO.

Joe - aged 48, least I think, I am too friggin old to remember. From England. Despite having trouble remebering waht I ate for dinner today, I recall vividly playing "Colloosal Cave" on an Ibm mainframe in around 1974, played it for months, never finished it.
For me, Wiz 7 and Ultimate Underworld 1 were the best. Am at Tryton in Wiz 8 and sort of enjoying it but it aint Wiz 7 - its prettier but lacks the charm, in some ways I have to confess a teenie weenie bit of disaapopintment, it lacks the deft scripting of the hand that created Brother T'sober, not complaining though, its a zillion times better than that Baldur's Gate crap, and for the first time ever I have a Bard, and he's my best characted, amazing. |

Hi all!
Surprising to see the average age of all of you, considering that on many of the usual game-related pages the average age seems to be 14 ![]() Anyway, name's Robert, I am from Germany (yes, I got that game imported, damn expensive but worth it.) and I have seen many of you in the W&W-forum. I turned 30 a month ago. I have been addicted to Computer games ever since I played "The Bard's Tale" on my old Commodore 64. Anything that bordered on roleplaying got my attention, including "Pirates!"... I have explored the Ultima and Wizardry series, played Dungeon Master on the Amiga and am playing Pen&Paper RPGs a lot, as well. Latest games I have played include Gothic (very nice) and Wizards & Warriors (also very nice). I am looking forward to some of those remake-projects. I guess you've heard about those plans of re-writing classic games like Ultima I or The Bard's Tale with up-to-date graphics, sound and gameplay? some of those may even become freeware! The developers are people working on the projects in their sparetime. Right now I am fighting some game crash problems and do not have that much time to play, but as soon as I can I plan to share tales of my adventures with you. See ya! El Cid (Now guess where I borrowed that nickname from...no, not from history books...)

I'm soooooo relieved. I thought everybody on here would be 18. LOL!
I'm Rhea, and I live in Northern California. I'm 50, and I work in a program that provides special ed to preschoolers. I spend all day surrounded by several hundred 3-5 year olds. At night (and whenever else I can) I play CRPGs, which I discovered in the early '80s about 1/2 second after I discovered micros. Actually, I started with Infocom games (still love 'em), and a REALLY early Sierra game called "Hercules and the Golden Fleece," which besides really botching the mythology, was absolutely terrible. I discovered Ironworks waaay back (I'm not even sure for which CRPG). Nice to meet everybody! |
