"they have so much energy..." gus sighed... "If only we could harness and then expend it on the horrible evil that is going to descend on and destroy us all..." he spoke with highly sarchastic overtones.

Sylquis calmly sat down and began to speak; "No." the cleric replied firmly. "I am not going to play 'mother' to every little dispute you have. If you are going to take him along, I won't be there to settle disagreements between you all. This is your problem, children. You can both solve it. I would suggest that you both calm down and then talk to him. Perhaps both together, and then Alae can leave the two of you alone?" she suggested, and continued, "If he is anything like his father, he'll refuse to come to you; because he'll feel he'll have 'lost face', and be akin to a dog crawling back with it's tail between it's legs." she gave a pointed look at Alliene, which spoke volumns - remembering Calaethis's behaviour, and looked back at the twins. "If you get angry with him; you'll get nowhere. I expect he feels just as insulted as you do, Alaerth. It was probably your tone..." she finished. "Arlyth has never seemed to have a problem with your authority, Alae, or mine for that matter. Just talk to him; I'm sure he'll see your point of view and appologise." Then she returned their pointed look, still seated.

Sylquis turned to address Gus. "Void Genasi, you know nothing of what goes on here. You know nothing of what has passed; and I would advise you to stay out of this. Keep such comments to yourself! They are provocative, unnecessary and quite frankly, totally uncalled for!" she paused, and finished coldly, "You would do well to stay out of matters that don't concern you. Especially family disputes." both her eyes and voice were cold, and showed none of the warmth that her eyes held when she was speaking to Alae & Alaerth. It was clear that she loved both twins, as well as Arlyth. It was also clear she disapproved of the Genasi.

"Yeah I guess you're right... I was a little impolite... I guess I can't help but think of those who briought me into this world as family... I'll refrain from such methods of thinking..." He smirked. Then turned toward the others with the bread still in his hands."I really like this dough of sourness..."

Sylquis snarled, and in a tone that would have made Alliene proud, hissed, "You are no kin of mine, genasi!" her eyes burned with fury, "Do not ever entertain that notion again! You are filth; summoned from the void! You are no blood of mine, and do not presume to ever assume that you would be! How dare you?!" Sylquis's rage was a match for Alaerth's, and her hands were clenched white and her face was white with fury. "Appologise now, and I'll forget your slight!" she snapepd, finally bringing herself under control.

"no blood of hers" Gus thought to himself, making a very bad pun in his mind, He chuckled a bit, then noticing the fiery look in Silquis' eyes quickly chocked said in a squeaky voice "Okaye... Im sorry im sorry!" he said rubbing the back of his head with both hands now.

Alaerth finally stood and slapped his hand down on the table,
"Enough!" He roared, "Sit down, Sylquis. The mage has already appologized to you, and you are not even the one who summoned him!" He had not woken up in a great mood and his little cousin's spat had only made it worse with the added pain of a headache. Alaerth glared at Sylquis with glowing eyes until she did sit, then he sank bank into his chair, squeezing his eyes shut and rubbing his temples, "I do not need to hear it." He muttered, taking deep calming breaths. He finally opened his eyes, now their normal silver, and looked at Alliene.

Alliene, who had been growing even more amused by the moment as Sylquis yelled at Gus, read the request in her nephew's eyes and cast a dimension door. Alaerth stood and offered a hand to Alae. Arms around eachother, the both stepped through the portal, and it closed behind them.

Arlyth looked up from his seat on the bed, and swallowed slightly as the dimension door formed in his room, and the twins stepped through. He stood up, and looked at the floor, his shoulders tense. But the air of defience was gone from him. He didn't speak.

The twins let the silence hang as they studied Arlyth, then Alaerth backed into the chair that Alae had pinned the elf in not long ago, while she perched on an arm rest,
"Tell us what is on your mind, little cousin." Alaerth prompted him.

"These people need to stop portalling all over the place and need to just up and say 'let's go'..." Gus thought to himself... He looked around the room and stood up. Then he walked over to one of the walls, felt it up and down with his hand, tapped one of the bricks ever-so-slightly and then stepped back. he looked up and down the collumn of bricks. Turned around, walked back to the table, sat down, placed his elbow on the table, rested the side of his face in his palm and took on a mopey expression.

Arlyth looked away, and whispered; his tone so soft it was almost unhearable, "I... I'm sorry Alaerth. I... shouldn't have acted so." he dropped to (both) his knees in front of his cousin's chair, and begged, "Forgive me?" the boy swallowed, and whispered, "...You insulted me..." he choked back a sob, "I.. thought you didn't want me around." looking at the ground he whispered, "You implied I couldn't look after myself... that I... your tone. It was so nasty... you treated me... as if I didn't know that it was important... and that I would run off! I'm not my father!" he cried out, his voice near breaking. "I... I'm sorry for my tantrum... but... since you treated me as a child, I... decided to respond as one..." his cheeks were flushed with embaressment, and he was on the edge of tears.
