I'll drink to that
Happy Hanuka, everyone! And I'm getting hungry now, too... Wonder if there's a place I can buy a hot pot around here.... *makes note to go googling for it*

Yes, Happy Hanukah! And happy "Festivus for the Rest of Us" (a bit of Seinfeldian humour)
How about potato latke hot-pot? Doesn't get any more multi-cultural than that! 8 days of Hanukah followed closely by 12 days of Christmas. 'Tis the season indeed! Happy Winter Solstice, too! Drinks drinks drinks!

Finally the time has come that I have invested in a new computer. It should arrive next week. (I love those exorbitant lawyer fees ). Believe it or not, but it will be the first time I progress from good old Windows 98. So now finally I believe those tech tips will come in handy for me as well.

I, too, will have a brand spanking new computer next week. A new Dell laptop. My current laptop runs XP and DirectX 8.1 (thanks Bungleau!) and I've never had a W&W problem (other than needing to VDub, which isn't really a problem). I hope the new system doesn't spit the thing out the first time I try to install it! After hearing about the issues many here have had, I'm not too optimistic about a painless transition. Oh, well... I should be ready for Dungeon Lords anyhow!

A round for me... drinks galore....
hum... jsalsb... as long as it's Windows XP... I doubt there should be too many problems... I have Windows XP Professional SP 2 and Direct 9.0[some letter like a or b or c... or something like that...] anyways... I hardly have any problems with W&W...

I had problems when I went up to DX9.0C, but it may be related to my on-board sound drivers. Haven't had the chance to experiment on it yet.
Loads of new computers, eh? What is this.... the holiday season or something
