Dantes was startled out of his reverie by a sudden telepathic communication. he immediately took to the air on his lammasu, quickly heading back the direction from whence they came.
"Hurry there is trouble." Dantes yelled before, he was out of hearing. The he began the weaving of magical energies that could only be the workings of a spell.
OOC: During the trip to where they were fighting Dantes is going to cast a few spells. #1 is a good old fashioned 'stoneskin' and #2 is a minor spell sequencer with a few magic missle spells, just in case, they are needed.
RP in when I get there and I will post again, also approx how long will it take me to get there flying on the lammasu? I assume at least 2 rounds, but probably more.
EDIT: OK its normal movement rate would be 24, but since they usually don't carry people, I assume they would be encumbered, so maybe 20? or 16? i dunno what do you say DM?

Elsewhere - In the sunless places beneath the mountains ....

Terrakis

“Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Aieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!”

It is a terrible sound and these dark caverns echo with its notes for miles. It is a desperate and pain-racked cry, the wailing of a broken and despairing heart. That it is made by a voice whose confident power once put opponents to flight by its very sound makes the screaming all the more tragic. No compassion answers the cry, there is only a sneering and hate-filled laughter.

“So this is mighty Adalon! Feared guardian of the passages to the dark realms beneath the surface! The great dragon!” The booming laughter of Terrakis and his fellows grows with each word. “That one who thought to bar our progress and expected us to flee like frightened children!” With a sneer, Terrakis sweeps his arm. “Look! Within your very lair we have met you and we have broken you and not one of us has fallen. Your horde is ours. Your life is ours.” The eyes of the giant gleam with malice as he continues, “And your eggs, your precious eggs! These are ours as well!”

The broken dragon lifts her silver head once more and screams in protest, “Noooooooooooooo!” And after the scream she begins to plead.

Terrakis feigns sympathy simply to savor the sound of the ancient wyrm’s abasement. Then with a contemptuous slap he silences the badly wounded creature. “PITIFUL PRETENTIOUS WRETCH!” he bellows. “You should have stayed within the safety of the BG2 underdark with its weak villains and over-powered heroes. And now you shall know what all others shall come to learn. By right these dark places belong to us and none shall contest our claim.” With a nod from Terrakis the heavy boots of the giants slam down one by one upon the eggs of the dragon. Once more the pain-wracked scream of a shattered heart fills the caverns of this dark region only to be suddenly and brutally silenced. And as the broken Adalon falls into death upon the floor of her lair the silence that follows is perhaps more painful to the ears than her screaming. Within the dark tunnels, the brutal lesson has been learned – Terrakis and the giants of shadow stand supreme and none will contest their claim.

For Morguerat and Ruby

It is a terrible and pitiable thing this sudden and desperate call of an anguished heart and it is a thing that stirs echoes within those that have known such despair and those whose minds are sensitive to the psychic activity of other creatures. Something good and noble whose life was once mighty and confident has been broken and with the final draining of hope from an ancient and powerful life, despair receeds into death. Someplace within this scarred land darkness has destroyed light.

OOC: Ok when I get there Idelike to caste a haste spell on brendon syrathic and myself, and then attack the beast with Crimson Death, my faithful katana

EDIT: actually In rethinking it I'm not going to say that I make that move until I get there, once I get there the situation could change, so I will make my move once I arrive, if one of you two would just write my arrival into your posts when I get there, I will Rp from there. Syrathic smiled weakly as the creature turned its full attention on him. He had wanted this, but it was a bit more work than he had hoped. He moved quickly and used his superior agility to keep the creature working and to keep it from connecting once again. He had taken a heavy blow from the creature, but he ignored the pain and continued his assault with his blades. He scored a minor hit with his main blade, but his other blade was proving useless in this battle. "I need to get Brendon a shot," he thought. "Hopefully, if I keep moving, the creature will set himself in a positon that Brendon will be able to fire on. I just hope my companion can see in this darkness."

occ: The hit I scored served mostly keep its full attention on me. I doubt it did much damage. Larry, you're up.

EDIT: occ: I don't think I'll be able to see Dantes arrive since I'm occupied with the creature and fully in the darkness, so I think Brendon would be the first to spot our backup.

Brendon Grey

Brendon was getting restless. He had noticed a tiny figure in the distance that could either be friend or foe...most likely friend, since that was the direction in which his companions had travelled. The question was, would help arrive on time? Blinking the stinging sweat from his eyes, Brendion tried his best to see in the dim shadows enough to make out shapes. He finally was rewarded with his patience. The two figures in the obscure mists were visible enough now to determine which one the beast was, and where it's head was. Brendon tried to recall where it's eye should be located on that head,,,waited...and fired just as he decided that the shot should have a good chance of hitting the supposed mark.
Brendon wondered what more he could do. He could not really see his target and wondered if he would be more useful in helping Syrathic by pulling his blades and charging in. Then he had an idea...

"Hey! Let's just lure the stupid creature out of the darkness! Maybe if you ran this way and I'll snipe him as he comes by!!!! Can you see anything in there??? I think I see some of our friends coming!"

ooc: Okay, I hope no one minds if I continue the battle a little bit.

ic: An arrow whizzed by Syrathic and hit a plate near the creature's head. "Brendon must be somewhere near here," the elf thought.

Suddenly, he heard Brendon call out. "Hey! Let's just lure the stupid creature out of the darkness! Maybe if you ran this way and I'll snipe him as he comes by!!!! Can you see anything in there??? I think I see some of our friends coming!"

"Brendon must've gotten out of the darkness, then," Syrathic thought. "I thought that it had covered more space than it actually had." He stopped his nonsensical talking for a moment, then called out, "Alright, Brendon! I'll do what I can! Don't miss your shot!"

Syrathic attacked once again, but was again thwarted by the plates. He didn't mind, however, he just hoped that the creature would follow him out of the darkness. It had begun to use its large size to hem him into a small area, but the elf had been much to quick and clever to fall for such a trick. But would the creatures tactics force their new plan to fail? Syrathic did not hesitate, however, and ran off in the direction of Brendon's voice, veering slightly away. He hoped the creature wouldn't come to close to Brendon, if it followed him.

EDIT: Spelling mistakes
