LOL, c'mon, Saz, don't hold back, tell us how you really feel. I myself can't stand first person shooters. The only game that I really, truly loathe and despise, though, is Throne of Bhaal. I have dreams about finding David Geider is a dark alley so that I could ... say something really rude to him.

You didn't like Throne of Bhaal? Well, I can kind of see why. I guess I liked it since it closed out the story of the "Bhaalspawn" once and for all. The Ascension mod, BTW, made it a lot better.

Right now I'm playing through PS:T for the first time (thanks to dear LadyZekke who was kind enough to send me her game disks) and really enjoying it.

Cheers,
-Saz

I played through on the Ascension mode under the misapprehension that it corrected the part that I hated the worst about it, and it didn't at all, or only slightly. That's why Geider is in for a tonguelashing from me. Planescape: Torment is one of the best games that I ever played, right behind BGII. I'm glad that you finally got around to it. And, this is one of the reasons:

Heh, it wasn't so much as "finally got around to it" as it was "finally able to get my hands on a copy of it." As I said, many kudos to LadyZekke for her kind gift.

As far as NWN goes, I kept on playing it, thinking "it has to get better, surely it has to get better."

It didn't.

At least not in my book. I guess you really have to multiplay it, but to me, if a game can't be played by a single player and have them enjoy it, it's not worthy. Just my opinion.

Cheers,

Well, the only real problems that I had with NWN were that it was too easy, what with the Stone of Recall, and having your henchwoman (I used Sharwyn) reborn automatically after each death. I understand that the expansion packs will let you manage the henchpeople's inventory, and give them a better AI. I kinda liked Aribeth, and her struggle, but would she really have gone off and joined the creatures that had caused her lover's death? And, why weren't you given the option to redeem her? But, all in all. I still liked it better than the first person shooters. Have you gotten far enough into PS:T that you have gotten Annah and Fall-From-Grace? Man, I'd play Diablo if they were in it. (Expressions of shocked disbelief*

I've got Annah, but not Fall-from-Grace yet. Seems like I missed a lot of things at first and I've got to go back (I never found Dakkon, for example, until just a bit ago, and I'd already finished the whole Pharod thing).

Cheers,
-Saz

Dak'Kon? The Flaming Corpse Bar, in the Hive (SE). Gracie is much further along, in the Clerk's Ward. It takes a little doing to get her, but, trust me, she's worth it.

NWN...I agree the modds are far better than the actual game. But still...

Oh, I know, I got him now. Thanks, though, for letting me know I didn't miss Fallen-from-Grace.
