The analogy doesn't work Eisensdram.
If anything, Bush is akin to the Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV. (Ironic I know...) The Arabs (or other middle east natives like Jews, Assyrians or Kurds) are the Fremen, House Harkonnen are say Exxon and House Atreides BP or something. The Sardukar are the Marines. So the Kwizatz Haderach would be an Islamic Messiah. Or A Jewish one. Using a Dune analogy you should be calling Hussein the Kwizatz Haderach. [ 03-21-2003, 09:07 AM: Message edited by: Yorick ] |

I blame it on the fact that the Copy of “Dune” I read was so bad, when I ran my fingers over the print, it actually smudged. Twas more akin to newsprint than something one would expect to find in a book that cost £14.99 (I got it from the library mind you so no loss on my part). |

Great post.
![]() I would guess that Ix is the Silicon Valley and the Tleilaxu are the french? The Bene Gesserit are the elite special forces of every nation, maybe they are just the CIA. [ 03-22-2003, 02:57 AM: Message edited by: Djinn Raffo ] |

I don't think that the Marines are the equivalent of the Sardaukar. The Fremen are the best warriors in the Empire so thus THEY are the equivalent of the United States Marines.
