Kerry won the debate because he was a far better speaker and appeared more comfortable and serious. Bush looked uncomfortable, confused and staggered with his words plenty of times. Can you seriously think of a worse speaker than Bush ?

True, Bush isn't the most eloquent speaker. Think though...Kerry was constantly attacking Bush. All Bush was able to do was try to defend himself. Horrible display of a "debate". They need to focus on themselves, and quit attacking the other guy. Most who liked Bush still do. Most who liked Kerry like him more. Those on the fence are still by and large on the fence. One more month, I wonder what the "big suprise" will be from both sides.

I fail to understand how insulting people for wearing red sweaters, on Christmas is relevant.

And it seems both candidates are still desperately trying to attract swing voters.

SNL did a marvelous job of lampooning the debates. It was Great! Bush said "It's hard work" about 25-30 times, and Kerry began every answer with fighting in Vietnam.

http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/...ain/index.html

the next debate will be this Friday. the article says it will be made up mostly of undecided voters, in a town hall setting, and unlimited topics. this should be interesting. and i still think the wives should debate or better yet, MUD WRESTLE! let's get ready to rumble.

I know someone (sortof) who's going to be in the audience. She's a physicist who's registered in Arkansas. Apparently, if they pick you (at random), and you change your pre-written question: a verb, noun, or order of the wording, you get cut off immediately.

I wonder to what degree the questions are censored. Anyway, look for a cute physicist from Arkansas.

Just out of curiosity, did anyone happen to catch part (or all) of the Third Party Presidential Debate tonight?
