Well griever, sounds to me that you are way up now, perhaps in love? or something good that you feel you are undeserved of, but you think it will not last due to the crashing down part.. Am I totally out in the cold??
hard to tell with poems, though it is the images you get in your own heads that makes them good. ------------------ ![]() ::HOWLING WOLFGIR THE MAD WOLF:: |

Gabriel - I think we have a deal then.
![]() and draw up a charta. LadyWendy, nice work. It seems true artists are always inspired by the things right at their hands. ![]() Griever - Your poem gives me the idea you might want to become founding member of the Club of Broken Hearts. Your boardname alone predestines you for it. ![]() ------------------ So long ! R³ - Co-president(s) of the Club of Broken Hearts |

Here is a haiku that is sort of inspired by the moment:
I should be working but I'm writing here instead Yay selfemployment! Gotta love the Japanese for coming up with such an easy way to write legit poetry! I'll do a sonnet later. Azrael Abyss ------------------ I'm the prince of sorrow... Woooo! |

Magic
Magic is not tangible I can’t be kept or held, It lives around us In the sky, clouds and moon, In every plant that grows, Every voice that sings, Magic is not a tangible thing, But it can be seen, In the eyes of children, The smile of a lover, And faces of friends, Magic is a loving thing It makes us live, Expands our minds, Enriches our souls, Magic is not a tangible thing, But it touches our lives every day. ------------------ ![]() Co-president of the Club of Broken Hearts |

A few nonsensical shorts...
'A Dragon's Treasure' There is a dragon's treasure few can find, Smooooth scales, pert nose, and tight behind, Excepting her balefule eye and belching gasses, She has beauty and grace like pretty lasses. 'tho the most treasure amourous knights will get, likey will be to end as a charcoal briquette. 'The ballad of the Lost Army' ... O' Seargent, my seargent, our fearful battle is done, We're a bunch of losers, The other side has won. Conscripted like cannon fodder, we fought from fear, not for honor, 'tho the cause was true and just, When the seargent bit the dust, Swift warrior-cowards ran like hell, Suddenly forgetting their battle lust. 'Heroes Schmeroes' Heroes, schmeroes have no fear-oes, They fight for fun, they fight for Gyros, Fame, treasure, pride, and lust, No love for justice, more for beer-oes. 'The forgotten King' The forgotten King went out to sail, Friendly breeze turned raging gale, His three-hour tour now sixty-year, The loyal knights have yet to note, The missing king and his missing boat. -Grebki ------------------ Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast. And then I went and made at least three of them come true before lunch. |
