Had Morrowind loaded and playing on my laptop then had cyclic redundency issues. Went and bought game of the year edition, cleared out all previous morrowind stuff and then loaded. Game now won't play and I'm getting an error message regarding the morrowind.exe file. Anyone out there that can help me?

I have a Toshiba laptop running at 2.35mhz plenty'o'ram and hd space. I had Morrowind running before as I stated but removed everything and loaded the Game of the Year edition. After loading I (without knowing I wasn't supposed to) loaded the morrowind patch. Could that be my issue? Will removing that help?

I'd be willing to bet that the patch is the problem. You probably need to uninstall the game, remove all traces like you did before, and reinstall the game correctly.

I hear and obey. It's funny I was reading about stupid mistakes done in the game, I remember a time wandering as a new character, my first evertime playing, and the world is so awesome...hey I'm at some volcano place, lets look around...this place looks interesting..you figure out the rest. Thanks for the info guys/gals. I'll be back.
