"You're right about getting out of here," replied Argon, and backed away from the door, "But I still think we should try to get our contact out of imprisonment, he's a fellow employee of the Empire, after all. And besides, we don't have much of a hope of completing our mission without him, we've got no clues or anywhere to start at all, unless we find something here."
He followed Sorkuk downstairs and told Barney what the two of them had decided on, then asked the Trandoshan whether he was in for trying to spring the contact. "I already have the beginnings of a plan," the technician told the others, "But it won't be a nice one, and it'll need both of you in on it to work. It's not something I can pull off on my own." |

Barney gulps the rest of his drink and nods. He stands up, raises his finger to his lips in a gesture to silence Argon and looks as if he's about to respond with a brilliant plan...before letting out a mighty belch that makes nearby objects vibrate. "What did you have in mind?" he asks as he finishes off his sandwich.

"On the off chance that they've planted some listening devices here, I'd rather not say until we're back on the ship," Argon told Barney, "But the basic outline is that we create a distraction to get the local law enforcement away from other the prison or the courtroom where they're putting our contact on trial, depending on which it'll be easier to free him from, then while they're milling about in confusion, we swoop in and save him. The not nice part of my plan so far is the distraction, we'll need to do something very illegal to draw a lot of local officers away from their posts."
He grabbed the remote and turned off the holoprojector, "Now, I suggest we make sure everything looks as much as it did when we arrived, just so no one can tell there's been visitors since the owner got dragged away." |

"We think alike," said Argon, grinning as he joined Barney outside the house, "I've got some explosives myself, but I left them aboard the ship. Personally, though, I was thinking we should wait till tomorrow night. Both Sorkuk and I know to hack, we could use some time to find out exactly where he is, it would also be useful if we could get into the starport records and make them... forget, who we are and what our ship is like, if we need to make a swift escape, I'd rather it was hard for them to follow us."
He turned around to look at the house, waiting for Sorkuk to join them, "On top of that," he added, lowering his voice, "If we knew what other elements they had imprisoned, we might use that to our advantage. If we need a distraction after breaking out our contact, we could let loose some troublemakers, or if we need some help, we could bust out some pirates, members of organized crime or anyone else arrested for pro-Imperial actions. Lastly, we need to decide whether we strike during the day or the night. During the night, more of the local law will be asleep, but during the day we can cause more chaos with our distraction. That shop the news mentioned? Imagine what sort of destruction a blast there would cause right at the height of the shopping rush." |

Sorkuk shook his head in disbelief as Argon headed out after Barney.
"That's the plan?" he muttered to himself. "A Wookie could come up with a better plan!" The bothan raced out to find his companions, objections dying as he spotted the armament in Barney's case. "Hmm. I suppose this could work. So long as you," the bothan pointed a finger at Barney, "are willing to take the risk of planting those. I'm going to be safely ensconced at a security console far away." |

As they stood at the curb, no local police forces jumped out at the three, not even after Barney revealed his powerful weaponry. It occurred to them, though, that making their plans out in the open would only draw attention, and since their plans could take a bit of time to pin down, it was possible that they would get sighted by an old man going for a walk in a few hours.

"I'm headed back to the ship to get my gear, at any rate," commented Argon, "And we had better finish planning there, too, whatever plan we go with, it's going to get dangerous, so I'd rather not rush into it without a good plan, we do anything half-assed about this and we're dead."
As usual, he decided not to wait for the others and set off for the spaceport. |

"I agree, let's wait till we reach the ship before planning any more."
The bothan followed after Argon, casting one last glance back at their contact's house. |

Their contact's remained just that, a house. Barren, darkened on the inside, and way too large for just one person. It was pretty standard living for a town like this, as the party knew since they had visited innumerable other towns like this on other planets. So far, nobody noticed them. Barney was occupying himself by digging for some nose candy while Argon and Sorkuk talked.
On their way back to the ship, they could see that the city was beginning to wake up. A hoversweeper was going up and down streets in the center, spraying abrasive chemicals in the avenues, cleaning the grime from the past days. It wasn't a torrent of filth, but they had to agree - the place was kept very clean and gleaming. Back in the spaceport, they were allowed in without much fuss. They were allowed to go back to their ship without attracting any attention, though they noticed that the security officer had changed shifts. Instead of a large bearded black man, it was now a large black man with an afro. At first he was reluctant to move, insisting that their ship was being cleaned, but whenever Argon and Sorkuk showed him their ownership papers he grudgingly moved aside. Inside the ship they could see no sign that it was actually being cleaned. It was exactly as they left it, Argon's grenades under Sorkuk's seat and all. Barney quickly ran to the refresher, since if he held it in any longer they would need a cleaning crew in the lobby. |
