Jafin, when did you say you started this game?Have you consumed any food and water! I just finished chapter 1 last night and I started last week!Well I try to get 2 good hours in a day. Have you had a full party the hole time? I am at around 12,000 experience for my Character and my druid ladie freind, Jaheria, close to the same. These are the only two. Are you having to change the cd's like hot cakes on a grill?

Jafin,

Consider exploring the other areas and try to get at least lvl 5+. As Lord Shield said it will only get harder later on. I cleared all the areas out that I could before doing the bandit camps then Cloakwood Forests. I would work on your Lockpicking and Find trap skills the most. A skill of around 50-70 will find the traps often. A little trick to finding traps: seems to find them faster if while highlighted that you switch out of your traveling screen to another such as map or inventory then back to traveling screen. The traps seem to show up faster and more often. Good luck and good hunting.

I finally got through Cloakwood! I couldn't find any potions of free action anywhere and I didn't want to wait for the spell. I just sent my thief forward slowly to disarm them. It worked fairly well. I'm in the mines now and working my way through. I haven't had too much trouble in there, yet anyway. And where is Durlag's Tower? I heard mention of it in the game but I can't find it. Help appreciated

Durlags Tower is in the South East of the map, sort of below Firewine Bridge, IIRC.

You're best of leaving it till the end of chapter 6 though, cos its tough! Once you've completed chapter 6 go to Ulgoths Beard in the extreme North East... there 3 quests open up for you. A thought occurs though: you do have Tales of the Sword Coast (TotSC) installed don't you? Because Ulgoths Beard and Durlags Tower are part of that expansion pack.

Good luck and keep on fightin' through...

Ah. Apologies, only just read your other post. Yup, you need TotSC to get Durlags Tower: IMHO its worth it!
