Like prince eh Ertai? Well that's certainly a new one, no I won't get mad - the guy is a genius. As I said I've never had that comparison. When I was younger I was continually likened to either a Bono/Michael Hutchence or even a Tears for Tears influenced vocalist. Glad to know I'm getting some black music in my system. I've been listening to Stevie Wonder lately and various other vox.

The flight was fairly interesting actually. Only about sixty of us were on the flight so it was like a row each. A passenger was going to die so the plane diverted to Chennai (Madras) to get him to hospital. Glad to know they do that sort of thing as it must have cost the airline heaps (they had to ditch fuel to reach the reqrd weight and then refuel)

Thus I got to see India from the air and also Iran as the sky was very clear. Irans mountainous areas were fascinating. Very barren, some snow, much dry area. Some of it reminiscant of parts of Oz from the air (though not as red).

I'm staying with a friend I made on the plane! A fellow Aussie who has most generously put me up while I come to terms with the terrible value of the Aussie dollar against the pound. Oh well. Very happy am I

You can come see me in the south of England if you want mate. It's pretty cool here, plenty of ladies and bars along with various other activities. Although I'm new to BG2, so you won't know me much yet, I'm pretty sound, and good fun. Come stay if ya like!

Hi Yorick - welcome to London. You haven't said which area you are staying in, please tell me it's not Earls Court. You can't swing a cat down there without hitting an aussie or an enzedder.

If there's a spare guitar lying around I'd gladly participate in an unplugged evening.

I went for a walk around St James Park today, checked out Buckingham Palace etc. It's interesting finding the origin of certain concepts that Australian buildings/parks have here. I mean they're obviously different, but the influence is very obvious.

Some people tell me that I spend my whole life there but I don't think so. I spend about 25% of my spare time in the pub and 25% on the computer - the rest of the time is just wasted! .

I have to work during the day but I'm usually there between 5.30 and 8.30 Monday to Friday and at odd times at the weekend. Just let me know when you're coming and I'll make sure I'm there. You can't miss me - I'm the biggest one in the bar .

What's a Kender? You mean like the humanoids in one of the AD&D worlds???!!!

London is quite chaotic, so much bigger than Sydney. I was here seven years ago but didn't spend long here. Today in between trying to line some stuff up by phone/email I walked and walked and saw a lot of the city centre.
Quite intoxicating and, after coming from 40% days VERY VERY COLD!!! No wonder you guys moan about us Aussies when we complain about the heat

Actually I don't mind the cold. Kind of dramatic. I think I'm going to like this part of the world....

The double decker buses that people jump off while moving are kind of funky.

Man, that was great. Just had some coffee and good conversation with two guys from Melbourne. Compared notes, philosophies and observations. Very cool. One had just spent two months in Deutschland.

London at night! What a vibe! The teeming mass of humanity, the sense of history, the feeling of action, the feeling that here has a gravity around which so much swings - is all quite amazing. Passed Soho and Covent Garden earlier. Shows galore, entertainment galore. People everywhere. The public transport is a confusing mass of spaghetti-like twists and turns that link anywhere to everywhere.

My Melbournite friends bemoaned the coffee here though. My cappucino was ok. nice and strong but they complained they hadn't had a good latte since they arrived. Oh well.
