I Goofed! I didn't put any points into vitality. I'm not sure if I should start again or tough it out for 7 lvls?

Your Alchemy will be better, maybe even wait 8 levels and get started on Element Shield early.
BUT then again, the 4 non-casting levels will last a very long time that high. I say start over, so you'll be able to increase your magic skills again by L8. (in time for practising in Arnika, probably...) Reading this thread made me want to play Faeries again...i'm just now finishing a Duo of them, a Bard and a Ninja, the Bard started out using the Fairy Stick and a Dagger, ended up lucky and got a Coil of the Serpent...didn't get a Rod but i got Sprite's Dagger for the Ninja's non-cane hand. (and a Stiletto for the Bard) And i did remember to fill up Vit. |

Ok, I started over. I'm going to start a lvl of fighter since it gives me good starting stats in everything I need plus the extra hp's are nice too. I'll switch to alch or rogue for stealth next lvl.

I finished the game twice with a six-character party of pure spellcasters in expert ironman (pure spellcasters: mages, priests, alchemists and psionics, who don't melee or shoot at all). So outside of ironman, i'm sure you can win the game with a party of 4 fairie spellcasters.

I'm probably going to end up with 4 Ninja's. I'll see how it goes. I really like to keep the party all the same class and I don't do ironman mode this way 'cos there's enough challenge anyway.
I'm just trying to find some seekers now to get my stealth skill up with the 4 rogues.

Yeah, you're right. I think it's more habit than anything, but I think they also get better starting stats for stealing etc. than the ninja.
I'm also thinking of going alch. after to get fast spell lvls?

Generally it doesn't pay off to change class for a character. Changing a magic user to a fighter results in a weaker mage with weak fighting abilities and vice versa. Some changes do work out ok like changing bards or gadgeteers once they've mastered music/engineering. Also monk to ninja is good because they share many skills.

I was was going through the strategy guide last night and it looks pretty sad as far as armor goes. Is it going to be ninja armor for them or is there other stuff? Maybe the doll armor and the featherweight?
