woohoo 2 ebon staves!

So I was playing this evening, and saved just before portaling out of the Rift (dying for spell points). Portaled to the Trang-o-porter, so I could head back to Arnika and unload some Renewal pots. Was surprised to find the safe house door closed. because I've been in and out several times already. Even more surprised to find another Frigid Fiddle lying around. But I ignore it (because it's not the first time the game has flaked out on me) and head to Arnika. Try to walk past Myles but he intercepts me like we never met before. He doesn't have any quests, though (because I completed them all without him). I'm around 13th level and on the way to He'li's I get attacked by Higardi Raiders??? Bishop's not in the mood to fool around, so she uses the last of her spell points to unload a blizzard on the fools. Mix and sell some pots and portal back to Trang-o-porter, which is suddenly on the frizzt like it's missing it's wires again. I'm like ... "oh $#######*" but press what I think is the Bluff button and jump in. Head to Crock's to see if he's got any new spell books. Nothing much happened (accosted by some millipedes, now dead millipedes). Head back to bluff to see if there are any new wires on the dead T'rang for the trang-o-porter. There aren't. Head down to the treasure rooms to see if there are any other duplicate items, and there are! An extra Ebon gem (which I don't really have any use for, as there's only one Staff user in the party) and another Brillant Helm! Save the game and realize how all this probably came to be ...



Ran out of disk space with the game still running.

That's bizarro but verrry interesting.

so, babar, then you alt+tabbed out, cleared some space, saved the game with two ebon gems, switched a spellcaster to staff, and went on a rampage... right?!

he he, I did save the game, but the only spell caster I had was already using the first Ebon Staff. Now if there was chance to get an extra Fang and Boomerang Shuriken, I would have jumped all over that.

If anybody wants a copy of it to fool around with, let me know and I'll send you a copy. I don't think there are any really munchkin duplicate stuff available ... just 2 Ebon Staves, another smarty helmet, and I guess 2 more Demon weapons.

14 F-Fai Bishop

I had a lot of stuff stored in the chest in He'li's room. I don't know if it's still there or got reset.
