Okay guys, here's the deal. I've been wandering around in Ascension Peak for the past couple of days to get some experience and possibly some goodies. I am NOT even close to finishing the game, and my characters are only around level 12 or so, but they can hold their own so I took my chances by coming here. Anyway, now it seems that I can't get myself out of this mess. I'm starting to get into fights that I cannot possibly win.
Does anyone know of a Wizardy 8 editor that I can use temporarily just to fight my way out of this place? I actually hate the thought of even using one, but I don't know how else to get myself out. I don't even want to level the characters up because that will ruin the rest of the game experience - I just want to either make the monsters "passive" or temporarily switch to "God Mode". I tried the one that is posted here on IronWorks but it didn't seem to work. If I ran the editor while the game was running, the game would automatically close. If I didn't run the editor and just opened the game, the cheat keys didn't do anything in the game. Any suggestions? P.S. - If anyone HAS used the posted trainer with no problems, please let me know what you did to make it work. Thanks. |

If your party finds a fight too difficult, they can run away. Yes, it's possible. That's what I make my party do.
And I'd love to see a Wiz 8 editor, too, though my interest is more in building my own map levels and quests to put in the game (an East Asian style city ought to be fun ![]() ![]()

There are a couple of really good editors out there. There's a saved game editor AND an item editor.
Unfortunately, if you've patched your game, Cyberman's editor/cheat keys no longer work. I have used his editor to "teleport" around locations....very handy for fledgling parties. Just do a search on this board for editors.....you'll find the links... ![]() |

that particular editor was designed ONLY for the Wizardry 8 Demo. it happened to work with the game when it was released, altho not fully. and once the game is patched, it refuses to cooperate.
have you never made a save? V***V

I know this isn,t much help but there is an editor out there that edits your saved games much like shadowkeeper for BG II. I downloaded it and have used it once or twice to edit my party stats. Problem is if I remembered where I downloaded it from I really would share it with you. I do remember having to search a few sites before finding it. Like I said not much help. If you do find it you could pump up your party stats to get out, than return them to where they were originally. Good Luck

Try the following link:
http://www.softwarespecialties.com/d...mID19/747.html The editor(s) can be found at: http://www.accessv.com/~cpommer/ Unfortunately, there's no teleport option in the editor. There is an other one around where you can add items as well, but that one is bugged. Use it with caution or you might lose the fun. Cheers Caramon |

there's several to choose from here.
don't bother with the first one... that's the one designed for the demo and will only frustrate you if you try to use it. ![]() the rest are similar, but each has one or two features that are not in the others. so, try them all. for the most part they are pretty bug free. but READ the README with each, as they include workarounds for common problems.
