Just kill her. I just did this very minute. However, I got my squad up to the lvl 17 area. 1st round I had my casters cast as high a level as possible of soul and element shield. My fighters (including my ranger) all drank potions of superman except my monk, who used a canned elemental. From then on my Bishop alternated between heal all and rest all. My mage uslessly cast concussion while the rest of my group went hand to hand. The potion of superman really increased my damage, I think that was the key. By round 3 Nessie was just another skeleton! I noticed two important things, first is that it looks as though bard instruments do NOT work under water (I really wanted that haste.) Also, I have a Samuri with the light sword and enchanted wascwhatever. A fairy ninja with the cane, NPC r2d2, a ranger with eagle eye, a bard with fang, and Vi with the dread spear. I had a lot of hits on Nessie and she never showed an effect. She must be immune to all weapon effects. Vi hit her 6 times with a 50% hex and she wasn't hexed, for example. I was assuming I would get an insta kill of a reload. I never figured that I would win a straight up battle. Good luck.

Depends on a lot of things, not the least your party's level

She is killable, but it isn't easy unless you get lucky with a critical hit. You can in fact run past her which is how I just handled it, even getting to "that" chest ... I lost 5 of the party only to find the "E" sword wasn't there

However as long as you can get Elemental Shield up in round 1, then simply repeating "run" in combat mode until you're far enough down whichever passage you're heading for that combat mode is ended usually gets by unscathed ... however a resurrection powder or two, os a good Priest is good insurance

CThe chamelon spell may help with dodging her. I was able to get fairly close before she noticed me. Basically less that one turns movement.

The best way for me to take out Nessie is with range. If you chars have pretty good range and bow skills 70+, equip them with tripple shot crossbows. I only had one on my fighter and he does incredible damage per round. Sometimes he does one turn and takes 3 shots for 15+ dmg per shot and sometimes he gets an extra turn per round getting 6 chance shots. Make sure one of your chars have heal all (my bard does) and rest all. First initiate combat and if you hide behind the rocks Nessie will not be able to see you. Run up to Nessie but out of her swallow and physical dmg range. First round cast soul shield/element shield/armor melt/heal all (heal all if Nessie gets her shot off before you do). I believe you can set to cast soul shield/element shield/heal all before initiating the run. Have bishop/Vi (if you tricked her with portal) ready to cast rest all while your bard(using heal all every or every other round) and crossbow chars pelt away. You should get minimal dmg and your chars won't die.

I only had one tripple shot crossbow at that time but if I had four like I have now, I could have killed Nessie much faster. Tripple shot crossbows really kick ass with my fighter. Any of my chars does 30+ dmg per turn and up to 120+ dmg if they get six shots for about 20+ dmg per shot on weaker opponents.

The reason you couldn't cast haste with your bard is that fire category spells don't work underwater.
