Vi has gone AWOL (spoiler)

Well, I finally beat Nessie! 3 cheers and a tiger for me! Now I have a new problem. Vi is missing! I actually dragged her through the underwater caves, the sea caves, and most of bayjin thanks to a convinient teleport. Boy, did she whine! Anyway, when I got to the hut in Bayjin where Sgt. Glumph (Umph?) is imprisoned, I had to get him in the party, and my 2 slots were full. (Vi and the 'bot). So I had my Bishop set a portal by the cage, ported back to Arnika, and released Vi. She said to meet back at He'li's later, so I ported back, got the dumbass Sgt. Umpani, and beat it back to Mt. Gigas. After completing that little chore (and getting oodles of XP), I returned to Arnika to retrieve Vi.... but she's not there! I've searched all over Arnika, and can't find her. Is this part of the game, or did the program make a boo-boo?

Hmmmm...I hate to say it but it doesn't sound good. I kinda went throught the same thing (it took me about 4 tries on Nessie ) Anyway, both my NPCs got spooked when I went into the Rapax Rift (cowards)...so Vi told me she would meet me back in Heli's bar.
I figured I'd leave her there (hey if she ain't gonna follow me into hell then forget her!) About 4 hours later and sans NPC's (I get sidetracked easily) I found Grumph just by exploring and to shut his whinny a$$ up, took him back to the umpani base. I made my way back to Heli's (finally) and Vi was there...maybe it's a bug.

If she isn't at He'Lis, you may be a victim of a bug which captures her in the statue of Phoozang. No Kidding. Search "the other" forum for a post of a SirTech official (Perko). They're working on it in their next patch. Until then you'd have to send in your save file.

I think the best way to avoid this would be to escort her to He'Li personally and to make sure that she's actually there.

My Vi is missing as well. I was also wondering if it was part of the plot (i.e. the Dark Savant got her).

Yep, you guys were right! She's in the statue of Phoonzang, darn it all! I went back to Arnika to get resupplied, and , out of curiosity, I turned on the X-ray spell. There was a green dot on phoonzang's statue, which I can only assume is Vi! (Unless the statue is friendly and comes alive at some point!) Where the heck is a stonemason or a jackhammer when you need one?? [img]graemlins/help.gif[/img]

You know what? I remember finding a chisel somewhere that the gadgetter can use! Maybe if you find it you can use it to chisel her out of the statue!?!

Ha Ha! It just might work! Umm...I can't remember where I found the chisel (I tossed it in a chest with all my other 'worthless' stuff I haven't figured out how to use yet). Anyone else found it?

The chisel is in the mine on the way to the Mtn Wilderness if I remember correctly, along with another item there that I can't recall.
