IIRC the fact that Aragorn wasn't beheaded by the shield Lurtz throws was because it got stuck in a tree, with Aragorn pinned to it.

Without saying too much, my only serious complaint reagarding the entire trilogy was in the RotK. I have to join with those who believe we shouldn't have to wait for next year's Collector's Edition DVD in order to see the return to Isengard sequence as it should be.

Funny, but I liked the first of the 3 the least. The 2nd and 3rd are both equally good. Just saw the 3rd tonight. Some people are like "yeah man, I'm gonna see that again tomorrow!", I'm more like, maybe I'll watch it again in a few months. The battle scenes were pretty cool, although some elements a bit over the top like Legolas taking down a whole.... well I won't spoil it... on his own. The battles scenes were very cool, overall it was "good" .

I heard something about a fifteen minute goodbye scene. It was a bit of an anti-climax to most (at least the one's I talked to).

I was disappointed in the first one when they spent so little time on the Ents.

That was interesting...
In proper movie night fashion, we had dinner out of doors (+.5 litres of coke). Followed at 18:30 by the movie (+20 minutes). However, there'd been a technical failiure earlier and all the movies were running a bit later. In compensation they offered everyone a free drink. In cinemas, drinks are expensive and their containers huge. But hey, it's free (+1 litre). More waiting (+20 minutes), until eventually the doors open and the crowd is allowed in. Then there was RotK (+3 hours, +20 minutes, + no bathroom) So that's roughly 1.5 litres consumed in about an hour and then a 3 hour wait... I think my favourite moment of the whole evening was when I limped into the restroom (and the first I tried to limp into was closed for cleaning too Good thing I knew my way around). |
