[NEWS ALERT] - Level 12 Opening 8PM TONIGHT! (Monday I mean)

Reporting from the scene is Tom 'the Axe' Brokaw:

"We're seeing a large build up of evil forces on level 12. they call themselves 'The Cult of the Dragon', and are reportedly worshipers of dragons of all kinds. We tried to send our scribes in, but they were killed by some magical traps."

[img]smile.gif[/img] Level Twelve will be opening at 8PM EST -5 GMT tonight! (Monday) You can find the warp in the same location. Take the same warp to level 3 to access it. Please check for error, bugs and such. I still have a bunch of stuff to add, but I'm doing it in 'chunks' so I can debug it when I get crashes.

BTW, I haven't hardly ANY crashes now that I fixed some things. It's great!

[img]smile.gif[/img] It's released, but no finished until tonight-- I wanted to sneakpeak it for you all, so if I missed something or there is a bug, you could find them. I have it pretty tight, and less placables as well. Speeds loading and less lag. (Plus, loads of baddies will be running at ya, so you need the framerates to swing that weapon!) [img]smile.gif[/img]

HOLY CRAP Z!!!!!!

That level rocks!!!! I love it and love it and love it!!!!

I was only on level 12 for about 15 minuets when i got ' The server has gone down ' message. I was fighting for my life and died more times than I care to share.

I was using my namesake, Terisha. Level 36 ( Fighter/Mage 18/18) and made nearly exact to my Table top version.

Needless to say I got my little drow ass handed to me on a scaley platter!!! I love Level 12!!!

Ok, I tried out level 12... damn that was brutal! I was using my Paladin/CoT (epic character with epic weapons version with still no immunities) and I had to pull out every play in the book to survive and then some. Even with that, I died several times (good deaths though) and was running out of feats/ abilities/ spells/ potions, etc., with every encounter! Eventually I had nothing left so I just pulled out my Greatsword and starting swinging madly at anything that moved (Good thing I was on that level alone - lol) The mages and clerics were good, and the I believe they were being played the way they should (stand at the back, let the fighters engage while they bombarded you with spells)... but I gotta say the assassins were the best: Finally, putting some meaning into the words "blinding & Backstabbing" like rogue encounters should.

Question (perhaps a bug?): why do some of the mages just stand there instead of casting or fighting? Even when I started hacking at them, they didn't respond.

Hehehe... I wish that I had logged in half an hour later so that I didnt' have to go it alone. By the time I killed the Shadow Dragon, Teri-sha had come in to help... but then we both died, and then the server went down too (just as well because I suddenly got company and my own PC crashed)

This level is truly not for the faint of heart. Nor is it for a character of un-epic proportions. I didn't have any immunity items or majorly invincible equipment (about the same as the stuff you find in EfU) and I needed the Holy Prayer Beads from my Paladin/CoT that casts unlimited Heal & Greater Restore (yes, unlimited). I mean, if you have to pray to your deity, you're gonna be praying with every step on that level.

Gotta requisition another holy avenger and suit of armour from the temple for round two.

I used my little Ranger6/Rogue6/fighter6 and was beating everything. The trick is to stay under Epic levels, that is less than 20 levels and the game doesn't over power you. I was kicking butt in there and I was winning all the battles including the big ones. While I was fighting Xagazana the Shadow Dragon and his brother I met Moric the ranger and the Two of us battled the Dragons for what seemed like days and I only had to resereck 7 or 8 times total. Only 10 or 12 more Dragons to go Read my other Post I Need an army.

Still got some game balancing to do for sure, and yeah, I saw that the female mages just stand there. I have no idea why.... [img]smile.gif[/img] I will fix.

More soon! Got some new stuff for level 1 as well!

I think the female mages are related to my sister. She seems to just stand and watch when things are happening around her also. Then she'll say something like "Did you see that?" as A speeding car races by her, missing her by inches and runs into a parked truck and then bursts into flames. So yes I really think those Female mages are related to her.
