This is my first pass through is game, and I would have been staggering if it weren't for the helpful advice of everyone here. Thanks! Can I beg your indulgence and ask another question? I'm partway through the serpent temple, had to go back for more cure poisons (dang those priests anyway). What I'm wondering is, is it time to upgrade some or all of my characters to an elite status of some sort, and if so, which one? My characters currently are:
Whiskah Lvl 7, Warrior Lvl 3, Sword 5, Bow 1, Shield 2 Blacksmith/Night Vision Elf Lvl 7, Wizard Lvl 2, Dagger 2, Sorcery 4, Sun 4, Stone 4 Quick Learner Lizzord Lvl 7, Warrior Lvl 3, Sword 4, Bow 1, Shield 1, Scout 1 Snakeskin Ratling Lvl 7, Rogue Lvl 2, Sword 3, Bow 1, Traps/Locks 4, Pickpocket 1 Gold Digger Dwarf Lvl 7, Warrior Lvl 4, Axe 4, Bow 1, Shield 3, Forge 1 War Cry/Blacksmith Pixie Lvl 7, Priest Lvl 3, Mace 3, Sorcery 3, Spirit 4, Vine 3, Artifact 1 Dodge/Ancient Lore I'm considering turning my Whiskah into a Samurai, my Elf into a Warlock, my Lizzord into a Ranger, my Ratling into a Ninja, my Dwarf into a Paladin, and my Pixie into a Monk. Any advice??? Thanks, Catz |

Warriors and Rogues can be upgraded at any time without problems. It's okay to take the Wizard to a Warlock, as long as you keep him there for a while (and I mean a WHILE, let him get all the good spells).
Don't mess with the Priest until you get all the good Vine level magic you need. If you take him to Monk, it becomes MUCH harder and more expensive to get Vine spells, and you can only get them up to level 6 (Level 12 skill) because when you change to Monk, you can only learn Vine spells at 1/2 the skill level of Vinecraft. Concentrate on building up your priest's Vine magic, and neglect Spirit magic for now, especially since you're going to take the Dwarf to become a Paladin. Let him/her take on the Spirit magic thing. A good rule of thumb: Unless you're going to Warlock, don't change spellcasters until about level 14. -Sazerac |
