Nastiest opponents - possible spoiler

What are some of the toughest, nastiest, meanest monsters you have run into?

Warning: don't read any further if you would rather be surprised when one these dudes jumps you.

Did anyone document the Sphinx hit points? I think that it is the highest Hit Point creature I have encountered, but I don't have a saved game where it is still alive.

My own Valkyrie: HP 134, gaze attack, spells: spirit, sun, moon Traits: doublestrike, giantstrike, iron might, noble cause, quickspeak, gravebind, backstab
- possibly much nastier than anything below!

Balaxian fiend: HP - 100, poison breath, spells zap, meteor, 11,600 exp.

Scarab mummy: HP - 120, casts sun spells, 14,660 exp.

Hell Spawn: HP - 150, 11,000 exp.

Hell hound: HP - 180, breathes fire, 15,500 exp.

Demon Temptress: HP - 200, casts silence, breath paralyzes, voice of terror, 18,000 exp.

Pit fiend: HP - 250, sun spells, 22,000 exp.

Demon lord: HP - 300, sun spells, 66,000 exp.

Earth elemental: HP - 400, gaze attack (evil eye?), 41,000 exp.

Ice elemental: HP - 400, moon spells, 48,000 exp.

Zumajinn servant: HP - 350, 31,000 exp

Stone golem: HP - 900, pummel attack, 183,000 exp.

Almanon (named demon lord) HP - 800, sun spells, 92,000 exp.

Sathius (named ice elemental) HP - 800, frost breath, 116,000 exp.


How about Erathsmedor? Did anybody note how many hit points does the dragon has?

The Hit Points And Experience points may vary depending on the difficulty level you've set.
At default:

Erasthsmedor is 6036 HP and 1,849,578 EXP.
3-Headed Hydra is 2900HP and 259,960 EXP.
Gezerred Ra is 8056HP and 2,427,995 EXP.

But Oakenmir takes the prize for the toughest: 8482HP and 10,338,538.
10 million+ experience points, of course most of these creatures are off limits to kill if you are an agent of the Mavin.

I just got back from visiting Oakenmir myself and see your response. My numbers match yours closely, closer to 11 million experience points though. I never saw my characters shoot up in levels so fast. My Assassin ended up at 34th level with 175 hit points. I've completed the game so I'm just fooling around for a while.


Another legal heavy hitter:

The Darkened One: 1,400 hit points, 265,000 exp.


Some Brimlock Roon area monsters:

Sea Shark: 100 HP, 8,000 exp.
Crab o'the Sea: 200 HP, 18,000 exp.
Longtooth: 350 HP, 60,000 exp. (a very respectable trophy kill)

The Sphinx had over 2000 hit points. Immune to most types of magic, it took quite a while to peck at with weapons. At least, until it finished me off and then I reloaded.

Don't forget the mother of crabs in collasium.
How do you determine the amount of hitpoints of a monster? You're not counting all the damage with opponents like Oakenmir are you?
