I got to Yaga sura's lair in the marching mountain, so far, no probs (improved Ilasera...heh...*winces*)Then decided to go back to my pocket plane to rest. Nothing unusual, the pocket plane animation went fine, but then-instead of just appearing in the pocket plane, I got the messge "Insert disk two". Thinking this was nothing more than maybe a new thing from Ascension (it IS my first time through it, after all) I put the required disk in. To my surprise, I appeared in a strange place that seemed to come from the temple ruins. In a ring around my party was a pair of wyverns, a few fire salamanders, and an ice salamander. They began to "speak"-only the dialogue box appeared with no writing in it. I pressed "enter" jumping it between them, but it froze on a fire salamander who's feedback circle was flashing white. I turned my sound up to see if he WAS saying anything, but, nope. CTRL+ALT+DEL didn't work, I had to restart my entire computer. Has anyone else encountered this before?

This was the version of Ascension I downloaded from Weimar's site, by the way.

not that pacific problem but I have had many, dialog problems the first one was the reason i joined this forum lol. I would give Sarevok his chaos Sword from johnnys dungeon, and then Sarevok would initiate dialog but there was no text when I ended dialog i got a message lost item and another gained item, checked his inventory to discover that his sword had no description now. What is supossed to happen is sarevok thanks you for his sword and in his hands it upgrades to a +4 sword but somthing went wrong for me.

That's not an Ascension bug.
It's more likely you messed around with installing different mods.

The snake/lizard guys start pestering you after killing Gromnir (in Ascension/Weidu only if I remember correctly - thanks to Wes Weimar).
-
The dialog prob is always caused by installing different mods.
Especially when installing Weidu-Mods and Non-Weidu-Mods.
Non-Weidu-Mods usually replace your dialog.tlk, Weidu mods append strings to the dialog files.
So if you install a Weidu-Mod and after that a non-Weidu-Mod your dialog is broken.
Same is true for uninstalling and installing again in incorrect order.
And of course not all mods are compatible to each other (i.e. Shadows over Souber and any Weidu-Mod).
-
Always keep a non-modded version of your dialog.tlk (and fdialog.tlk), chitinkey and overwrite folder.
And kepp track of your mod installing order.
-
Have fun!

Can you upgrade Srevok's sword in normal BG or do you have to have AScension?
