Well, I have fulfilled my destiny. My life is now my own again. What do I do now? I think I'll set up shop in my rusty little sphere and while away the time creating all those items and spells that have been bouncing around my head for quite some time. What fun! Perhaps I'll even create some new life forms....

Does anyone know the ending if you don't have a romance and choose not to become a god?

I think that's exactly the same as the ending for not becoming a god with a romance. It's only different for the NPC you were romancing.

Hey, Azred, that's actually a pretty interesting question, what will your character do after vanquishing Melissan and ending the Time of Troubles? Retire and settle down, or keep adventuring?
I think my favorite Bhaalspawn, a Half-Drow Wild Mage, will set up a tattoo-studio somewhere, where adventurers and citizens alike will be able to get both magical and mundane tattoos.

I'll fix the planar drive in the sphere, move out of the slums (the property values are simply atrocious there), spend some time taking a long vacation with my lovely druidic companion and see the sights of the realms: the Spirit Soaring is quite breathtaking (or so I have heard), walking along the Dragonwall should be awe-inspiring, dinner and dancing in Waterdeep, etc. You know--live it up for a while (its not like I can't afford it ). How about you?

I hope Bethesda did better work with Morrowwind than with Daggerfall, which was a pretty good idea, great character system, but awfully buggy gameplay and all this nice stuff like owning a house or boat didn't have any effect on gameplay. It was just a kind of storage room.

Did any of you try Gothic? Great CRPG, should be available in English by now...

Does anyone know if Icewind Dale 2 is going to be the infinity engine again or not? With NWN bringing bioware into the 3d realm, its going to be a real drag if IWD2 is the same old tired sprites. The infinity engines kinda played out. The only knock I ever had against BG2 is that the graphics were dated by a couple years. And that was a year ago. After just playing the BG adaption on the PS2 for a satisfying diversion, and seeing how awsome the graphics were on that, Im not going to take any more infinity engine games seriously.

IWD2 is going to use the Infinity Engine. I personally don't find it all that bad. I'm not very much into 3D games anyway. 3D is cool for first-person shooters and maybe adventures and RPGs where you play only one character, but for party-based RPGs, I think the old isometric bird-eye view is the easiest to use.

Good God!.......you surely wouldn't pass up Godhood would you? You have the chance to ascend to the heavens (and kick some godly butt).

Incidently has anyone got a link to a good Icewind Dale 2 website?

What would you do after becoming a god, hm? You certainly could not go around "kicking godly butt", because Lord Ao would not allow such behavior. Gods have more restrictions placed upon their actions than we mortals do; in fact, gods don't even really have free will anymore. If you don't believe me, then ask Cyric.... (read Prince of Lies and Crucible: The Trial of Cyric the Mad) No, I am far too wise to accept godhood.
