In ToB theres only one storyline, in SoA you go through Athlaka and nearly everyone (when I played it the first time) seemed to talk to me. Thats missing in ToB, any comments???
But by the time your a near god (levels 26+) then you really are below quests like "find my lost slipper" or such other mundane tasks. Just a thought

no, i really didnt get choked up. i got a few goose bumps, but i take that as just my natural reaction to various things. i actually thot Sarevoks and Edwins comments were kinda funny, and the Solar saying you disgusted her was kinda funny to me...

I chose the mortal ending because I couldn't leave Aerie 1st time.#
2nd time Itried to choose god ending but ended up choosing mortal again. I just love Aerie so much!
A managed to pick god on the third time with the volume off so I couln't hear what Aerie said...

I guess some of us role-play more seriously than others.

Not at all - I don't consider a CRPG to be role-play anyway - if it was, I would have had one or two things to say to that damned Solar when she was insulting Lord Raptor - this "fixed options" thing leaves me cold as I often think of something ELSE I would rather say if allowed to role-play in character properly

No tears because I thought the ending was a bit naff - I quite liked Sarevok's ending - have yet to get Minsc to the ending though. Thought Edwin's ending was a shame though - he was cool!

I felt so bad about choosing the godhood option after I saw Jaheira's ending that I went back and did it again. Viconia's romanced ending had a flavor of the (spolier alert)

tragic classical romance, but it really ticked me off. We go through all of that, she changes her alignment, settles down, and THEN gets killed. Grrr. Talk about an unsatisfying end to one of the best romances in the game... Overall, the endings were done pretty well, and did invoke an emotional response.
