I have Mask of the Betrayer and Storm of Zehir installed.

When I try and play Mask of the Betrayer, in the dialogue cutscene, for instance, the first one, where you wake up in a circle, the silent, descriptive writing skips through after half a second, and when Safiya turns up, her dialgoue skips as well, and she never speaks (as in, her sounds never play). The characters moving continue at the same speed though.

I didn't have this trouble before, so I am guessing it is brought on by Storm of Zehir?

Any ideas how to sort it out would be welcome.

Have you run the updater since installing SOZ? There is a patch which fixes some MOTB issues which occur after SOZ is installed.

Get ready for this one, you're going to love it:

The Cause:
SoZ accidentally erases the VO_X1.zip file during installation.

The Solution:
1) Use the autoupdater to patch the game to v1.21. The file in question is a 330 meg file and the autopatching routine will restore the file.

2) If you have issues with downloading a file of that size, you'll need to reinstall your game and backup that file before you add SoZ. Then you just put it back again after. Depending on your internet connection, it might be faster just to reinstall.
