Crazy Re: NPC Creation in DC

I was looking at the bottom of the list. The list is in alphabetical order so I needed to look at NPC Combatants. The process:

1. Create NPCs with the NPC editor under global settings.

2. Go to NPC Combatants on your monster list, click on it and then select the NPC you wish to insert into the combat.

3. When the edit screen comes you can specify whether the NPC is friendly or not and the number of that type of NPC you want to have in this particular combat event.

I don't know if it takes a village to raise a child but it certainly takes a "village" to explain things to me. Thanks everyone for their help.

You've got it.

Well, and I had forgotten to check yesterday evening although I told I would do.
However, exactly this is where the village comes in, right?

By the way, sometimes it happened to me that a NPC (party member) attacked the party instead of the monsters during combat. (I guess this is according to some ADD rules I do not know.) The option to add the NPC as a friendly monster in the combat event editor helped out...

It still does it....
I set up a combat with a friendly NPC as a monster, and it attacked the party. I wanted the combat to end when the monsters were defeated. The combat ends when the NPC is defeated. I was going to post a question.
Anyway to fix that?

Ok, I figured it out....
I just tested it a number of different ways. Okay, in the NPC Editor there's a option you can check, "Pre Gen Character" or something to that effect. If you check that, it'll keep the NPC friendly. If you don't check it, The NPC'll still help you in combat but they will turn on you once the enemies are defeated.

I've been doing my own testing since FD is still having trouble with it.

I've used multiple NPCs in various configurations. In every instance, NPCs added with the 'is friendly' box ticked only attacked monsters and undfriendly NPCs. I even tried evil NPCs being friendly to a good party and they did not attack.
So, make sure the 'is friendly' box is checked and if this issue still occurs, please let me know and I'll have you upload your error logs.
As to the battle continuing after the PC is dead, but NPC friendlies are left alive- DC considers NPC friendlies to be part of the party not just allie in the battle, so it continues on as long as one of the friendly NPCs is still alive.

The pre-generated box only effects whether or not the NPC is selectable to add to the party at the time of party creation or when in a training hall.
