Why would someone think you are a goof? Becuase of you "love" for Anime? Oh and why did you say that you haven`t earned your respect and that you are a noob? You are OK. Be what you are!

Why do you think people don't like you?

Not all people here are against you. It is just that if you post silly comments, people are going to ignore you or reply something in a not-so-good manner.

If you want to gain the respect of other members, try to post something worthwhile once in a while and only post relevant topics in the right forum.

Of course some of the discussion topics are participated by members who have some unique view on that particular topic, for example, The Current Events forum. If you do decided to post any replies there, do make sure that you have done some preliminary homework or you post will be ignored altogether.

Last but not least, please remember that most of the "active" members are all over 18 and as such, do remember not to post in an immature manner, for example "Hey, I think XXX is the best. THE BEST IN THE WORLD. YEAH, IT IS THE BEST"... and don't expect kind reply from such a post.

If you're feeling like you don't belong, check this out.

It's at these times that you should think of a temporary relief from IW. Maybe a day or two with your family and friends, you know, the people who really know you.

Oh, and if you ever find that I'm being a little too harsh or prejudice( ), just tell me

You just recently joined IW and I've not bumped into you much but I do know that you like Anime much. I'm not really a Anime fan muself, I find it too 'bombastic', but I respect your opinion.

I agree with what Paladin2000 said and writing worthwhile posts, not that I mean that you don't, is important to gain respect. Especially in the Current Events forum where discussions can become very heated and you are expected to be able to prove your statements and the information you post. Debates there can be a real 'gun-fight' so you better come 'armed' with links to sites with information to back up your your statements.

Something I have noticed is that you don't use commas (,) or periods (.) much. That makes some of your sentences long and hard to read. I don't know your age or if English is your first language but adding these would give your posts a more 'mature' outlook. Just a tip, though.

Hopes this help you.

Just after 200+ post and you are already thinking of giving up? I don't know about you, but making friends takes time and if you expect people to treat you like a friend, then you are sure going to try harder or you will face the same thing in other boards. Well, at least here people do pay attention to your posts from time to time. On the other hand, other boards might not be "newbie friendly" and flaming in those boards are something which is bound to happen very often.

In any case, most of the members here are well over 1 year and it is somewhat hard to get into the circles without spending some "quality time". As I always said, no pain no gain.

To stay or not, it is up to you. But do give it some serious thought before making decision. After all, I am still consider "new" here but sometimes I do appreciate how people reply to my post and comment on my views.

I think Paladin2000 has pretty much summed it up.

IW is a friendly place.

There are no "noobie bashings" like in other forums and every member is helpful and friendly (well, except for the odd troll ). I don't think anyone on IW dislikes you, some just don't share your opinions or your love for anime. So don't worry about it!

I don't think you are fair to yourself by posting a poll where you ask what we think of you, cloud. Also note that not all people that voted in the poll have written a reply explaining why the think like they do. Some of them may only be joking with you.

Cheer up and stick around.
