Wow, people don't go to the Polls forum often anymore, do they?

You don't need directions, Johnny...think of every time you get lost as an opportunity to hit more things really hard.

Johnny, the maps are not the best in that game! So wander around and kill stuff!

At work today, waiting on hubby to call and tell me how much his new tires are going to cost us...ugh. His car is a good one, but old and we bought it from a friend who inherited it from a relative who died. Turns out it had very low mileage on it and almost everything else is original to the car....thus the need to replace the 13 yr old tires. One went flat in the driveway this weekend.

I never realized it but they say that even if you have great tread on them, if a tire is over 5 yrs old you should consider replacing it as they get brittle, especially around the rims.

The sun itself is a tire's worst enemy...rubber decomposes naturally (I believe it slowly oxidizes, which is roughly equivalent to rusting) with the energy of the sun giving it a jumpstart. The tires will look fine, but structurally, they are unsound.

In my experience, old cars, even with low mileage, can have bad electronics...My stepfather found an old New Yorker a few years ago that really didn't have many miles on it, because it had belonged to an elderly man, but the computer system went bad rather quickly after my parents bought it.

This one doesn't have too much in the way of electronics in it, that I know of. It's a 93, though so we've had it looked over and tuned up recently.

"He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought."

Full poem by Lewis Carrol here.

My favourite poem ever (after hearing it on the Simpsons!) has to be "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe
