Shocked Now when does this seem like a good idea?

From Yahoo Weird News...
Quote:

Two arrested after using barbecue pit as a weapon

ALEXANDRIA, La. - A man and a woman found a new use for a barbecue pit — one that landed them in jail. An argument over whether a third guest should stay in the house got so heated that the woman picked up the barbecue pit and hit the man over the head with it, police said.

The man picked up the barbecue pit and returned the favor and hit the woman in the head with it, police reported. The woman then told police that she picked up the barbecue pit and hit the back window of the man's car with it.

Police admit that the whole situation was confusing, but after medics treated the man and the woman, they were handcuffed, read their rights and taken to jail.

The man was booked on a charge of aggravated battery and the woman was booked with aggravated battery and simple criminal damage to property valued less than $500.

Okay... at what point in the evening does battery with a barbecue seem like a good way to continue the conversation? Although it hasn't been mentioned, I suspect alcohol was involved... again...

Only missing piece of information was whether or not it was in use. *THAT* would raise the stakes (steaks?) to a whole new height, wouldn't it?

Hmmm...what were thay Hulk and She-Hulk. I can't even imagine lifting my barbecue pit or my fire pit and hitting someone with it. Must have been one of those cheep coal ones that are about 2 feet diameter and 4 inches deep.

But the most important part of the story is missing - was the 3rd person allowed to stay. What the hell is wrong with reporters? Get the story guys, get the story!

Considering both the man and woman were taken to jail, the third person could pretty much do what they want, Although in my experience, whenever my friends start arguing over whether i can stay or not and end up in jail, i usually scarper...
