hi, Do you know if there is any Dungeon Wall art of the Purple Dungeon walls from Secret of the Silver Blades in .PCX format for FRUA? i've been searching online at Rosedragon.org and i noticed that Dan Autery's Site has been shut down. Just wondering if anyone has or knows where to obtain the wall art. And/or the backdrop image as well. Sample of the wall art that I'm looking for can be viewed here.

I had no idea until just a bit ago that there was different art for the Amiga and Commodore versions....
Backgrounds and walls for SotSB are not in FRUA format, and Autery's DAVXIEW program can't display them in FRUA format either. ![]() However, if you'll bear with me, I'll do it by hand. They'll be the DOS version, as that's what I have. ![]() ![]() BTW, what software did you use to create the two youtube videos on your Silver Blades page? |

Yes. The Amiga versions of the gold box games have the best graphics. & The C64 versions are a bit different. Maybe not as good but they are nostalgic and also my first experience playing the games were on a C64. Thanks for assembling some .PCX's. That'll be great to see and use.
For the YT videos I just used the emulators to record the videos. For the SotSB Amiga vid, I used WINUAE. It requires a kickstart rom. (Unless you have a real Amiga). I picked up the Amigaforever program a while back which contains the kickstart and allows emulation through WINUAE. http://www.amigaforever.com/ Info on recording videos with WINUAE can be viewed at the link below. http://guide.abime.net/gguides/video.htm & for the SotSB DOS version vid, there is an option within DOSBox that allows video capturing. You need to have at least DOSbox version 0.65, though I heard some people had some issues with recording with 0.65, so i went with DOSbox version 0.72. Inside your DOSbox folder there is another folder called zmbv. Open the zmbv folder and inside you will find 3 files. a readme file a zmbv setup file a zmbv.dll file read the readme, then right click on the zmbv setup file, then click install. Once the zmbv setup is complete, start up a game via DOSbox or through D-Fend Reloaded etc. and when you are ready to record a video, press CTRL-ALT-F5. Then to stop/end the recording, you have to press CTRL-ALT-F5 again. You will find the video output file in a type of AVI format. If you are using D-Fend Reloaded, the video file will appear in a folder called Capture which is located within your D-Fend Reloaded folder. If you are just using DOSbox without a front end, then check the Capture folder within your DOSbox folder |

Can you provide me with a couple of screenshots of that wall? Reassembling it from 8x8 pixel squares is very, very hard.
![]() Ideally, there would be three screenshots: 1) looking down a hallway that is at least three squares long, 2) looking at the close up wall, 3) looking at the middle distance wall - it could be down a hallway I decided to do all 5 backdrops from the game. ![]() ![]() |

Yeah, attach a screenshot, or provide a URL for a screenshot.
I made a purple wallset, but it was based off the Eye of the Beholder 1 'Drow' levels.. It's just dark purple stone.. You can download them here, and below is a sample--more images at my URL too! http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/dung...allsets2.shtml |

Ziroc, your walls are definitely much better than the Silver Blade walls, that's for sure.
![]() I think that he wants walls for FRUA though which will be limited to 32 colors, half of which is a fixed palette. And, of course, it's at about half the resolution of your walls. ![]() |

If you're planning on doing anything in DC, make sure and check out all of Ziroc's art - it's a very impressive collection.
