Question Mark Thunderbird.. again

I like it better than Outlook overall, but I do find that the spell checker is terrible. And obviously, there is no grammar checker.
Does anyone know if this will be improved upon in future updates?

Also,
I have it set to "delete" anything that I have marked as junk. But it seems to only put it in the Trash. Is there a way for it to automatically delete the email all together?

As I recall you mark it as junk and set it up so you can clean your junk mail once inawhile and it gets put to trash.

I don't intend to hijack this thread but since you brought up the topic of Thunderbird:

Is there any way to free up the disc space after removing the message from a folder. My trash is empty and still show 147MB. Inbox size also includes messages that have been long deleted/moved from it.

I think that's because they are actually stored in another folder. I know that's true for the email addresses. It's in "my documents" somewhere.

Have you compacted the folder after deleting everything? I just tried mine and found...

Folder with two items in it: 2038 kb
Folder with two items deleted: 2038 kb
Folder after compacting: 0 kb

Right-click on the folder and select Compact Folder. Be prepared to wait a bit...

Check in your Account Settings for the location of the folders. They may not be where you think they are...

Thanks Bungleau, that was that.

You can also set it to do so automatically in advanced options.

Glad to hear it. I'll take a look in my advanced options so it happens automatically... I get a lot of stuff in my work email accounts...
