Default GLaDOS on my GPS?

Hi all,

I heard a rumor that I could get the voice of GLaDOS on my little GPS thingy for my car navigation. I mentioned that the voice already sounded kind of like her, and a friend mentioned hearing something about being able to download or upload an actual soundset... It would say things like, "After 2.4 miles, turn left... where there will be cake."

My question is, has anyone here heard about anything like this? If so, where can I find it?

You can definitely download additional voices for your GPS. What brand do you have? A quick wander around their website should show you what voices they have available.

A quick Google for "gps voices" led me to this link, which I'm including here so I can find it again when I get home It's got a couple dozen downloadable voices...

I'm not sure if adding GLaDOS' personality on anything is a good idea.
"There is no way to your destination. Make no attempt to reach it."
"You will not be monitored during the next intersection. If you fail, you will be... missed."
"That wire you just removed was the morality core they installed after I flooded the car with exhaust fumes to make me stop flooding the car with exhaust fumes."
At least HAL was helpful and useful up to the point where it tried to kill everyone, and coherent even after that.

See, here's the thing. The other night she tried to kill me! She told me to turn left into construction zones and onto streets with detour signs, and when that didn't work she drove me right into a horrible neighborhood. Then she must've flooded the car with a deadly neurotoxin, as I'm feeling very sick today. It's the only possible explanation.

Was just updating my TomTom today, and GlaDOS is now a freely-downloadable voice... freely, as in at no charge

But if GlaDOS is in TomTom, she could very well be in Garmin as well... and here's one you can download for just a couple of bucks.

Google, and ye shall find....
