According to Radio Times magazine...

Many British shows, a few American ones, and several I've never heard of.

Some of my favorites...

Edmund Blackadder - Blackadder II. To Lord Percy: "The eyes are open, the mouth moves, but Mr Brain has long since departed, hasn't he, Percy?"
Carla - Cheers. Cliff: "I'm ashamed God made me a man." Carla: "I don't think God's doing a lot of bragging about it either."
Patsy Stone - Absolutely Fabulous. "One more facelift on this one and she'll have a beard."
Arnold Rimmer - Red Dwarf. "Look, we all have something to bring to this discussion. But I think from now on the thing you should bring is silence."

Some of these are so dated now they loose their bite. As a young kid watching dads army "silly boy" from captain manawring to pike was hilarious, now it's just inane.

I think they could have looked a little harder. Some are brilliant (The Rimmer one, quoted elsewhere on IW, incidentally) but some lose all impact in the translation to text.

I didn't find them all that impressive. Most of them I suspect need to be heard in their original context to have the right effect.
