Another Dual Classing question !

I have a fighter that has now d/c to druid. My question is while as fighter I obtained 4 wp slots for a spear, are these still utilised when d/c or only whilst she was a fighter?

After you dual-class you will temporaryily "lose" those wp's. When you regain your fighter skills (when your druid level becomes higher than fighter level) you will get those wp's back .

Please note that wp's taken in 1 weapon in 2 classes are not cumulative. If you take 4 wp's as fighter, then 1 as a druid after dual-classing, then when you regain fighter levels you will have only 4 (and not 5) wp's.

However if you take 4 wp's in spear as a fighter, and 1 wp in club as druid then after regaining fighter levels you will have 4 in spear and 1 in club.

Any wp's taken in weapons that a druid can't be proficient in (e.g long swords) are lost forever after dual-classing to druid.

Long swords is a bad example, since Druids can use the large sword proficiency for scimitars. So, a F/D with specialization in large swords can get some benefit out of it by using scimitars.

Oh right. I forgot the longswords and scimitars use the same proficiency in IWD1.
