Default breath of fresh air

ahhhh

i've just started a new game of BG1

PC archer, imoen, jahiera, khalid, kivan, jan

i umm'd and ahh'd about picking jan up but did in the end and i think i'm going to leave imoen as a thief as a consequence - no magic missiles for the party mage i notice but i'm sure 'sleep' will more than compensate

done nashkel mines, gone pack fo the FA inn to collect the ring of wizardry and just ready to sweep back south clearing maps as i go

i nearly sold the potion of absorbtion thinking lightning protection was a bit niche but noticed the +10 AC bonus against crushing - i can think of a place or two where that could be useful

happy days

If you go to Baldur's Gate Tutu there is a Beregost Fix available that will save your corrupted saves.

ooh - thanks for that

sadly i'd experimentally started a new character in the interim so lost my auto- and quick-saves so it's too late for that to help me - idiot

but it's encouraging that it's there

and welcome to ironworks!

re-started

dwarf fighter/clerc, ajantis, imoen, kivan

i'm going to dual imoen this time so am waiting for her to hit thief 6 before i brave beregost for a quick shopping spree with her tome-augmented charisma and 'friends'

this game is great - the heady power of level 4
