I made a prediction earlier this year and I have to admit I was wrong. While the console fanboys crowed about how the 360 band PS3 had far superior performance to the PC/graphics combo's available at the time, I said that within 6 months of the PS3 release the PC would be back on top.

I was wrong... it happened BEFORE the PS3 release. LOL. A Core Duo box mated to a 8800gtx completely wipes the floor with anything either the 360 or PS3 can manage... hell a basic Athlon 64 machine with this card smokes em both.

On the downside, PC gamers will still have to live with reams of games limited by the graphics capabilities of those 2 consoles for the next 4 or 5 years.

But of course real life has the best graphics of all!

Why do I spend so much time looking at these blasted pixels anyway!

They're shiney and bright... and they change sometimes when I click the oval thingie.

They're the modern equivelant of staring at the fire.

Except... The 8800GTX costs more than a damn PS3 at the moment.

And maybe we should avoid the whole console vs. PC fanboyism war. It never goes anywhere. Mainly because die-hard console players don't seem to understand that the PC is naturally better.

Wasn't the PS2 obsolete almost instantly too?

Anyways, consoles have their market. They are more accessible to a wider audience. Think of those who wont read the book but will see the movie. Then there's those who will do both.

Where I live, people have been in line at BestBuy for DAYS. Sleeping in tents in the parking lot. Waiting to get a PS3. We have a tornado warning issued for today LOL. Wonder how the tents will fare?

No it's not a joke, been seeing these people for days on the news. And just look at the weather online for Virginia USA to see the storms we have coming through here right now. Heck I left work early because of it, and am watching TV right now...dang wish they'd show the tent people!

My last console was a Super Nintendo, and I've never had the need to go back once I discovered the potential of PC gaming.

May the Tent People repent of their foolish ways before they be taken by Nature's Wrath!
