Well it appears that my generation of "Be All You Can Be" needed a facelift after just 21 short years, and the slogan changed to the one that not too many people are happy with, "An Army of One". It seems that so many people are unhappy with it, we need another one, just six long years after it was unvieled, the SA has announced a new one to be presented to the public just in time for Veterans Day 2006!
*This is classified information* Read at your own Risk! "The new approach,...was announced Monday by Army Secretary Francis J. Harvey. He said "Army Strong" will be the centerpiece of a multimedia ad campaign to be launched Nov. 9, timed to coincide with Veterans Day weekend, Saturday, Nov. 11." "Army Strong"?????????? ![]()

*sigh*
It appears the people behind New Coke have found new jobs... Or perhaps it's an appeal to the caveman in all of us... "Army strong. Enemy weak. Beat enemy. Raughh!"

Army Strong! Fire Burn! I'm with Bungleau.
Gah it's bad. Be All That You Can Be is much better than that, they should just stick with that until somebody comes up with something better. |

Meh. Army of One was always silly next to Be all You Can Be (Which also rhymes with a line you can add, "in the Army" =p )

What's that saying? Oh ya, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" I liked "be all you can be", it was a positive message. The new slogans are just stupid. I'm not gonna sugar coat it, they're s-t-u-p-i-d. The army should fire the PR people who came up with the new slogans. I'd personally rather be all I can be than be an "army of one" or "army strong". The one seems to be implying that teamwork is not a priority, and the other makes me wonder if it's to be accompanied with a gorilla-esque thumping of the chest.
I respect all branches of the armed forces, and have friends and family that are or were in various branches, but the army PR department sucks.

What kind of strong will you get? Army Strong.
That's the context it will be used in, I'm sure...and it's not even close to correct grammar.

Well I think they are trying to use army as a verb kinda a ripoff of lance armstrong's live strong.Don't like it, always liked be all that you can be the best.Thinking like a highschool kid rember how kids took the air force book covers that said aim high and made them into im high, I think they will change this one to my dong, my strange or even army wrong.Really a bad slogan.
